I think AVB has the oppositie of the Midas touch. He can take a golden squad and turn it into a base metals one.

Half time take off Sigurdsson, put on Dawson. Move Verts to left back and push Bale further up the pitch, move Dempsey central. That's what I'd do.
 
We need big changes and to get some urgency going quickly. Bale is wasted at left back and so we need to bring on Dawson/Caulker and put Vertonghen at left back. We need Bale at left wing and have him chasing down the wing, trying to get that play working. We need Dembele to be braver with his forward runs and take the game to QPR.

The goal was a comedy of errors, but you can't seriously say friedel wasn't ridiculously late coming out.
 
The sluggishness is what worries me most. Going to take time to get even remotely close to our passing play of last season, simply do not have the personnel in some key places imo.
 
QPR are bloody awful. And we are making them look great..............as is the norm with Spurs. Cant even change much around - just look at that bench. Its shocking and laughable for a top 4 side.

Seems that way at the moment, why didn't we appoint David Moyes? Perhaps he didnt want to leave Everton but he was the manager that he wanted to come. I guess everyone will say give AVB time but why? So he can make the squad even worse?
 
The commentators are just so brick.

Gareth Bale wasted at LB blah blah blah He's been brick at LW for a very long time anyway so what difference does it make?

He wasn't late coming out. Zamora was less than 10 yards from goal when he received the ball FFS :lol: Friedel had to make himself BIG not go for the ball. He tried to narrow the angle, spread himself wide but it was a lovely finish from Zamora.
