QPR 1-0 up, and deservedly so. Awful defending, and Walker was slow pushing out keeping them onside and allowing the one on one with Friedel, who came off the line and Zamora chipped it over him.

Dembele/Walker to blame for the goal.
 
Walker was so so slow to come out there, both of those QPR players should have been miles offside.

This has been dire so far.

I was waiting for that! I knew today that if we conceded it would be Friedel's fault, no matter who was really to blame. If Friedel had stopped that, it would have been a great save. So it can't go from being a great save to his fault dependant on whether it goes in.

Friedel makes another save, QPR starting to take us apart.....
 
We look very sluggish and slow. Build-up play is very static, perhaps exacerbated by slow nature of play. But loss of VDV and Modric was always going to mean it would take time to get us playing well again, and even then imo we will need further strengthening because we are behind in terms of the quality of last season. Also love to know what Siggy is meant to do, seen absolutely nothing of him yet this season.
 
Bit harsh to blame Friedel for that, he should never even be having to make that save in the first place.
 
Playing Defoe upfront alone just doesn't work. Don't know how long it takes for AVB to see this.
 
I think people blaming the tactics/formation etc are off the mark. I really dont think that our playing staff is better than the teams weve been playing?! Gallas, Friedel? Defoe - hasnt been able to get a kick for the past few seasons. Sandro - totally untested. Bale well off the boil, Lennon doesnt score + Dempsey and Siggy????

Thats just simply not a very good team. And the midfield is brick. Unfortunately.

I don't agree to be honest. I think he can play as a striker but his best position is slightly further back imo.

But without Adebayor and seeing as we're doing fudge all in midfield anyway, would have been worth it just putting him up top with Defoe today.
 
If anything Friedal is helping us at the moment, it's the rest of the team that are jokes today, they are playing like 5 year olds in a game that doesn't matter. They have no football skills and they need to wake up, get focused and realise that they need to read articles online about how to play football the right way at half time and if they don't then it could well be goodbye to those players soon and goodbye to AVB.
