Interestingly he was playing the striker at that point which is something a few have asked to be tried. Now we've seen it, he's not a natural goal scorer even when it's teeded up on a play for him. A real striker in that position will contort their body so they properly get their foot around the ball and just tap it in. I don't think it's something you can ever teach, you're either a finisher or you're not and Kudus isn't. He has other strengths obviously, but his lack of killer instinct is becoming noticeable.

My favourite is one by a guy called Roger Davies, who was breaking into the Derby County team when they won the league in 1975. He'd done brilliantly to beat a player or two ("good control for a big lad") and then round the keeper before doing this ...

I would really like to see Kulu in the #9 role at some point. He does have a good eye for goal along with the strength of Solanke and better movement too.
