I think that is ridiculous, this is the first chance that AVB has had to field his first team and even then, they have ghastly virtually no time to train with them since the window closed. This team is a work in progress and we cannot really get an idea of whether it will gel and how good it can be until at least October. Thankfully, all teams in the league will have a bad run at some point, so as long as we hit form there is no reason why we cannot finish fourth again.
For you maybe. Unfortunately, we should have 4 more points on the board with two home games which should have given us maximum points.

Agreed. Sigurdsson has been poor so far. Defoe up front on his own? We've seen that movie plenty of times and know how it ends. I'll go for 2-0 Spurs.

Agreed. Sigurdsson for 8m was an absolute snip. And he is class. He's been no worse than anyone else, and has been getting in good positions even in the Norwich game, it just seems like the team don't know how to use him as well because he's difference to Rafa.
And on Jake, I think he has really good reading of the game to be honest. There must be more to him than simply athleticism to be called up to England squads, because he doesn't have outstanding skill, even though he is decent. If you look at him closely he is always chasing back into the perfect position whenever there is danger. Often the ball never comes to him because he has blocked off the dangerous avenue in the first place, and that's important. Coaches love that. And I'm 95% sure that's why Jenas always seemed to be so highly rated despite fans really not seeing what he does.
