***OMT - Tottenham Hotspur v Kings Road WAN KERS - Sat, 5.30pm, Stamford S**thole***

I am absolutely buzzing. I am probably one of the oldest people on here and I have only seen us win at Chelsea a very few times. Also for various reasons I hate them and their supporters more than any other team. Total scum should have had points deducted or been relegated years ago for their financial dodginess. Totally bossed them and deserved the win. I am going for a couple of beers now
COYS

Indeed.
I feel the same way.

Please pay attention, don't be an arse...

That's your sole post in this thread after this wonderful game?

I just finished watching the match (not knowing the score) and then enjoyed reading through this thread.
Wonderful to see the Fernandes-Tonali axis prove the concept that we had hoped for. Looks like we may (may) truly have that concrete foundation to build play from in the middle of the pitch.
So so pleased for Tel that he got his moment of glory in such a high profile game. May this be the springboard to greater confidence and consistency for the lad

I think for me the most gratifying element of the performance is that we continue to gel as a unit which wants to fight and win for each other using courage and bravery on the ball. There is a deep sense of trust building within the group, and playing the sort of 'receive under pressure' game we like to play in order to draw people into traps requires a lot of belief. I was particularly happy that after the first we did not retreat, and after the second, we fought for that clean sheet. Now I think we'll see the full benefit of Robertson, who will have seen this type of growth in his time at LFC, and can bring yhat experience and knowledge to the dressing room.

Robertson spoke well after the game. Was a small indicator of the positive character that he brings to the group

The joy of being at a 50-year wedding anniversary party and shouting when Tel scores out "come on you beauty...... 50 incredible years".... And then your mate shouts out "I take it Tottenham scored". That's how happy I was.... You fcuking beauties. After the first half I was worried we wasted our chances but damn.... That was a great performance.

And to top it off....that poo stain Rodgers lost!

I was pleasantly surprised with how we didn’t lose our momentum after Gallagher replaced Madders. Very different players but we stuck to our principles and continued to dominate the middle of the park.

It turned out to be the perfect inadvertent sub I think. Madders might have been able to unpick the lock eventually, but Gallagher getting about and getting stuck in seemed to wind them up a bit. He drew many fouls (and got booked himself). The game got really scrappy around that point and it seemed to really suit him.

I’m one of those who wondered “why” when we signed Gallagher but thought he was really good when he came on. Did well against Coventry in midweek and had a great game at Old Trafford so he’s really starting to find a bit of rhythm. Would have Madders over him in the 10 but he’s a great option.

A lot of people saying Chelsea were poor but up until they went down to ten men their press was very good but with Tonali and Fernandes popping the ball around the way they were, we were pretty much unplayable.
Fantastic performance.

My son isn’t interested in football, despite my repeated attempts (he is definitely a Spurs fan though, and he knows it) - so instead of subjecting him to this fixture last night I decided we’d just have a nice time together playing some video games and watching Taskmaster. Loved it. Stress free. Didn’t expect us to get anything. 1-0 77th minute and a red card to them had me bricking bricks. Not sure who won Taskmaster.

Just beautiful. Texted my Chelsea mate who just replied something along the lines of «brick fudge tinkle ass» to me. Glorious.

Don't get the criticism of him to be honest. We are never going to be a team of perfect technicians and we need someone like him who gets around the pitch and does some of the dirty stuff, and he is more than capable of scoring a goal as he's proven....

Enjoyed that muchly

Sitting in a room of Chelsea fans with a brick eating grin on my face

Everyone was fantastic

It could have been 3/4/5 - 0 and it wouldn't have been an unfair result.

Season starts now.
For me the season started at Man U. We had shown in small periods what our game could look like previously, but in that game we truly dominated regardless of the score.

As predicted, with a bit of time things are beginning to come together - not getting carried away, but you can see what was blatantly obvious from the start, that RDZ is going to have us being a very good footballing side....
