The French Are Revolting

[Clarky]

Are we now just immune to that sort of news?

[MadSpurs]

Are we now just immune to that sort of news?

How do you mean?

[Baleforce]

Are we now just immune to that sort of news?

or worn down but just how brick everything is generally

[Gutter Boy]

Its just what the French do. And its why they have a better quality of life than we do, because they don't just bend over for the powerful (state or corporate)

[thfcsteff]

Some of the reactions from the US are hilarious! A country where winning a sporting title leads to riots and looting in the city declaring 'victory'!!!!!

[Trixster]

I thought this was common knowledge?

Ooooh, you mean the riots..

It's a national past time in France.

[Baleforce]

It's a national past time in France.

It is a bit more extreme this time seemingly.

I’m hoping someone organises a rioting World Cup. The bookies will be forecasting a N Ireland v France final and I reckon we can shade it, especially if it’s held on the Shankill/Falls interface, giving us home advantage.

Distract the French with some wine, cheese and smiling woman and you'll walk it.

They will be wise to that and have the Guinness, Tayto’s and also smiling women ready in response.

I don't mind the French

France are economically fudged. Heading quickly towards bankruptcy. There is little the government can do while in the euro.

Meanwhile the British government wants to move further in their direction. Make it make sense.

I'm a fan, many parts of it are absolutely lovely, I drag the family there every summer to relax in the countryside and just eat and drink well.

Viva la revolution!!!

Like most parts of the western world, the people are tinkled at their declining standard of living while the 1% hoard more and more of the wealth.

Personally I would love to see more of this in other parts of the world (including the US).
