Roberto De Zerbi *OFFICIAL*

The fitness thing is such a stupid attempt at an excuse. That is literally his - and his fitness team’s - main job, so he is essentially saying that they have failed in achieving their main priority. It’s bizarre.

I’ve got to admit that he’s starting to p iss me off in press conferences.
The fitness debate makes me question what would have happened last season without Tudor, who done all the hard graft to get the squad’s fitness levels up.

I’m sorry to say that he’s starting to p iss me off in press conferences.
It’s recurring theme that the players aren’t fit enough according to him
I agree with him as i can see them huffing and puffing
But that’s his job to fix that

Could well be the case, but on that basis we are going to be in a bigger relegation fight than last season
I think we are
The quality is there in most cases
But the lack of anyone with ahh real hola scoring history is a huge issue
So what we need to do is play riskier higher reward football to get some goals
Instead it’s very passive football played at a medium tempo
We’re an easy team to play against

I can understand caution with Maddison & Kudus. But they could have been playing U21 games to get sharp. It’s the players not coming of serious injury I take issue with. Solanke & Udogie the main ones.
It’s just my opinion but I think he being so so cautious
Our history is so bad with injuries

Does anyone think that as a squad we still look unfit?? I'm not really buying that excuse. I didn't see a any lack of energy or effort today. I just saw chances not being taken and defensive lapses being exploited but I couldn't lay the blame at any sort of low fitness level. Yes some individuals might not be quite match fit, let's say Kudus or Maddison but that will be the same for every team with returning players. And to my eye I'm just not seeing a bunch of unfit players....🤔
