American politics

Looks like curtailing ballot submissions by using a new, unapproved, bricky online portal is the administration's play to rescue the midterms. They can't win except by cheating.

Money for votes....whodathoughtit.

And it could work....after all getting money gets old Donald onboard with anything.

Plus deficit, what deficit.

This is illegal, of course, but it is also not the first time he's promised cheques that never materialised. There was the DOGE dividend (5k), the tariff dividend (2k). Another one about ACA (1k) which I don't recall, but someone on the interweb was talking about it. No money forthcoming any of those times. I am beginning to think he is prone to telling porkies about these bribes payments.

I think it's legal if it's a manifesto promise?

Any explanation of how he's going to fund it, of course won't be forthcoming.

However, '5k' is all some people will hear.

I like your manifesto, put it to the test-o.

Totally illegal to bribe people to vote for you but you know, immunity and all that.
"Federal law makes it unlawful to knowingly and willfully pay, offer to pay, or accept payment for registering to vote or for voting. (52 U.S.C. §10307(c).) Any type of incentive is considered “payment.”

They won't get tinkle all, anyway. Feeral dollar are not for the plebs. It is Lucy with the football on these payment promises.

They actually got scammed by a Nigerian prince 😂
