***OMT Tottenham Hotspur v Saudi Sportswashing Machine, Saturday August 29th, 5.30pm, Tottenham Hotspur Stadium***

We don't have any players with character—players with balls.
The ones we did have, RDZ shipped out: Romero, Spence, and Vušković, who actually wanted to play.

To me, the club is missing former players; we need the likes of King, Sheringham, and Parker. I want people who truly care about the club.

Sheringham cared so much about the club that he fùcked off to Man U for his most productive years. But they’re all mercenaries really. Anyway, I don’t see the tripartite connection that you do between balls, character, and warm fuzzies for the chicken club.

Wouldn’t mind some defenders who like defending though.

Fancy Jacob fudging Ramsey laughing at World Cup winner Pedro Porro.

Things like that have a funny way of biting you on the backside in the future....

The amount of “receipts” our players must’ve collected from all the bantz they’ve been on the receiving end of these past 2.5 years of PL hidings I’m surprised that they’re still able to get into their mansions!

Hopefully this is the season we finally win a NLD again after 4 years of being their whipping boys🤞

I wthink we need someone to own this team on the pitch. We need someone to be 'that person.
I get that we’re a work in progress. I get that we’ve finished 17th two seasons running because, frankly, we’ve been crap. And I understand that the new signings aren’t going to gel overnight.

But is it really too much to ask that we at least look like creating and scoring goals, even if the goals themselves don’t come straight away?

We never look solid either. So if we almost always concede, we never really look like scoring, and we can’t buy a bloody win at home, where exactly are the points supposed to come from?

I genuinely fear we could go down for real this year. Not because there are necessarily 17 better teams than us, but because teams that flirt with relegation season after season eventually tend to go down. West Ham did. Wigan did. Villa did. The only exception I can think of is Everton.

We absolutely created yesterday. A series of poor final decisions cost us. There were a few moments when the football was the best I have seen in years.

This wasn’t RDZ’s first three games, he has had the end of last season and a whole preseason.

In that preseason he was part of a committee that has replaced decent defenders with dogbrick ones.

We are a rabble, and a predictable rabble at that because he is making terrible team selections.

Yeah. All of that spent trying to undo the psych rot from that ex-Brentford chancer. Say what you like about Ange, at least he gave the players the confidence to play and we somehow believed enough to win a trophy. Ol' Super Frank pitched us in a relegation battle and stripped any confidence to play football from them.
De Zerbi has a massive job rebuilding not just the squad but letting them know they are allowed to play football. We should not minimise what he did in keeping us up: it was a miraculous thing.

Meanwhile, the entire club has undergone a massive restructure. Massive.

I hope people can STFU up and show some patience and belief. We need this window to shut so as everyone knows where they stand, and we need to believe. They certainly need to get tougher, they certainly need to start winning every dual, they certainly need to press more cohesively, and I think this manager will make it happen.

First half we did play some good stuff. I said that if and when we click (get the final touch into the net) we will be awesome. It's disappointing that we haven't got the goals and that we are going to need patience, but there we are.

I don’t think we should be trying to run before we can walk.

First of all we need to be hard to beat.

Apparently he’s a regular on GB News; ‘puce faced and pumped up’ is probably in his job description there.
Did he read out the away team yesterday? It seems like we didn’t on Wednesday night and again yesterday?
I hated the way he’s been doing it anyway. Racing through the names at breakneck speed, just disrespectful imo. But have we stopped doing it altogether or was I just not paying attention?

Yeah I’ve noticed he reads out the team like he’s on speed. I might be remembering this wrong, but I recall when I went to Forest away they don’t even bother reading out away team lineup.

Apparently he didn’t read out the away team; I didn’t notice tbh, but it seems petty and disrespectful if true. Can’t imagine that would be his decision, mind you.

Controversial to say that Parker cared about his boyhood club when he turned us down and followed the big bucks all his career. He clearly chose to sit on the bend and count his money. Should we have been honoured when he came back as thirty year old and ended up a spent force in his second season?
