I think it’s ok to say he has been terrible in his first two game … because he has.
Doesn’t mean anyone is writing him off.
It’s ok to say what you want. I think it’s pointless offering any sort of critique at this point.

I wonder why that might beI hope it gets better but we are not known for stability are we?![]()
he is a poor professional. no wordd cup and yet so unfit.
yes he wanted to leave Saudi Sportswashing Machine and get the most for them - no problem and he's done that.
but to not be fit and ready for the season, regardless the price tag, is inexcusable.
I'm confused on Tonali. No world cup, full pre-season and yet his manager keeps telling us he's not in the right physical condition yet.
It's making no sense
And there is some signs of some greens shoots in terms of that.Personally I think we look to be playing what is a complex system OR at least trying too. A system which will seemingly take time for all to learn.

This is what frustrates me the most as well. You can add the likes of Solanke, Udogie to that, along with the World Cup players seemingly further behind schedule than their equivalents at other clubs.I'm confused on Tonali. Like 50% success rate, hardly improved from pre season and putting other players into difficult situations too.Hi passing was awful, he messed up multiple times
I don't think the setup is especially helping him. He'd be better in a double pivot with Fernandes in a 4-2-3-1. But as we've no #10 at the moment, this unbalanced 4-3-3 with Fernandes being further forward is not getting the best out of either of them

I would take that with a massive pinch of salt.Pal who is a Toon season ticket holder is not surprised; said there was a massive drop off in Tonali’s performance anytime he didn’t have Bruno G alongside him; that he was a player for them who either performed well or terribly (no middle ground); and that he was prone to sulking/letting his head drop.
On his day brilliant, but don’t expect those days to come around too often in a season, according to him.
