Forgot about Ben another one to add, 23 players for 18 places, can probably rule our LWB, Moore if Kudus available and Madders probably hasn't trained fully since last weekend.

Reason for Robertson over Udogie is I suspect that he along with Porro, vdV, Bentancur and Solanke may still be having their minutes managed and are restricted to 60ish minutes give or take, starting 5 players in that group would probably be a little irresponsible looking at the long term, so I probably don’t expect Solanke to start for that reason, likely will be Richy but pray it’s Marmoush but have no idea how many minutes he had in City’s pre season.
 
I think that RDZ will need to find a healthy balance of pushing his own football philosophy whilst being pragmatic about Toon this weekend.

We've all got a decent idea where our best eleven is evolving to. At least 9 or 10 of the names are clear.

Our player's sense of entitlement is the biggest thing to address after our last PL game. When teams get in your face and stop you executing your own tactics then you need to address that both individually and as a collective. You need to match the opposition intensity and you need to fight for everything. We simply didn't do that against Brentford first half last weekend and got what we deserved.
 
I'd like Rdz to try Micky instead of Robertson, and Udogie at left-back.

Udogie is overrated; I would have preferred keeping Spencer over him, without hesitation.
Getting back to VdV: given his size and position, not challenging for headers in aerial duels is a professional failing and makes him a weak link for the team.
He has incredible pace—let's play him at left-back; he'd be more useful to us there.

I'd like Rdz to try a setup like this:

That is really encouraging. The fact that he and Kudus are both now playing with the group in training is a huge step forward. We can dream, a little, of some real depth and quality in the front third. Having wingers on both sides that can reliably take on their man could transform us, where the ability to double up is nullified.

Of course, we will all believe it when we see it on matchday ..... ;)
