*** The official 2025/26 Premier League thread ***

Flicked over to watch a bit of Community Shield coverage on TNT and they’re still just a glorified AFTV with Laura Woods and Keown not even attempting to provide balanced views

If I didn’t get those channels included as part of my cable TV package I’d seriously consider cancelling them such is the woefully biased PL content on their channels.

At least Sky cater to us Spurs fans with club legend Bitter Jamie… 😭

Get a firestick, cheaper and they have multiple channels for each game by various different broadcasters. If i don’t like a commentary team i find another channel.

You wonder what the future is for City, I suspect this is the last season for Haaland there. Rodri goes as expected and thats a HUGE hole. I know they are spending big still but this def looks like the end of one cycle

City look pretty poor so far. Don’t think they’ll trouble the scum this year.

Have to hope that we rustle up a world class CF before the window closes, as otherwise Legohead is going to bore his way to another title whilst the new managers at those clubs which normally keep gobby Goons on their toes find their feet.

Wish that ENIC had backed Pochettino so well when there was this opportunity for us to dominate the EPL a decade ago.

Think they’ll win it easy this year. We won’t trouble them.

We need some goals. Our attacking options are bang average. I know some think otherwise but not me.

Rodri going for 60 odd and Anderson in fur 120 ! That’s crazy. English market is broken.

I know Europe don’t have the money prem sides do but that’s so skewed.

Anderson will be decent but their midfield will suffer for Rodri going.

Yup, finding top drawer goal scorers is the most difficult part and we were blessed with not one but 2 for a decade however ENIC never seemed interested in building a title winning squad around them which is why we almost ended up falling through the trap door when they left / declined.

Now we finally appear to have the makings of a decent midfield and back line again but our forwards are mid-table standard whilst Tel remains a talented youngster learning his trade.

At least when those noisy neighbours were dominant around the turn of the century they were playing good football but the prospect of them dominating the league with this despicable time wasting dross whilst that loathsome Legohead smirks as he’s interviewed by bootlickers like Woods 🤮

Regardless of how well Poch was backed we wouldn’t have dominated for too long - City and Liverpool were about to raise the level sky high. There’s a gap at the top now that Arsenal are best placed to profit from, unfortunately.

Yup wit with no Guardiola, Klopp or Ferguson / Mourinho level managers around and all the other traditional title challengers in a state of flux there’s every chance they’ll not only retain their title but maybe even do a threepeat.

Hopefully by next season ENIC will have finally completed that painful rebuild which Pochettino wished to undertake a decade ago and we might have a say in the title race🤞
