Any thoughts on who we should bring in to replace Spence? Ideally they need to be HG, as we don't really have spare OS squad places

My first ideas:

- Tino Livramento. Make the most of the Saudi Sportswashing Machine fire sale

- Brooke Norton-Cuffy. Exciting England U21 player with two good Serie A seasons under his belt. Would be my pick

- Jayden Bogle. Been a fan since his Derby days

Any other options?

Ideally, in a season without Europe and where we are clearly now struggling for $ and need to spend it elsewhere, then someone from the U21’s a Byfield or Ketterman? But being Spurs they’re injured as well. Unfortunately I think it’s Gray as back up when needs must.

Agree. Be very surprised if we'd have sold someone just to buy someone. My money is on Gray too.

We'll kill Gray's career if we don't let him specialise in his proper position.

I also don't think he's got the pace or mobility needed for FB.

Abbott would be my pick from the U21 options (once he's back from injury)

1. I suspect Livramento would be too expensive
2. Decent shout on Norton-Cuffy and I suspect £15 to £20m would get him.
3. I've always been quite impressed with Bogle, would be a solid if unspectacular option. Would be an OK backup. I don't think Leeds would sell him for anything other than a premium though.

Other options that wouldn't cost much and don't take up an overseas player place:
1. KWP who I'm sure would happily come back to Spurs and I think is at least on a par with Bogle.
2. Ryan Alebiosu from Blackburn is a pacy, attacking right back that I think would have no problem at all in the PL. Would be a good back-up signing IMO, with lots of potential to improve.
3. Brodie Spencer is a player that caught my eye playing for Oxford when I was watching them to see how Lankshear was shaping up. He is also very flexible being able to play as a wing back, left back or even centre back.

The links to this point have been Daniel Munoz and Neco Williams. Vanderson & Wesley has been linked on the past. Andrea Cambiaso has been mentioned.

We’re not singing kids anymore.

I don't know the latter two, but will go read about them

KWP will never be an EPL player IMO. He's just too easy to physically bully at the back post. Its always been his achilles

Neco Williams LOL - is that when a Bilbao winger gives you a love bite?

Ha no. The forest full back thats right footed but played more LB in recent seasons was linked earliar in the summer. Was meant to sign a new contract with Forest but thats stalled. He is a good player and better suited to what RDZ wants than Spence imo.

You can't replace Spence with Spencer. That's like saying we'll replace Walker with Walker-Peters.

Probably does make sense for it to be a HG player. I guess we can always not register Xaxi & Odobert but that then becomes a problem down the road. Or we sell Richaroson & Bentancur??
