As Fernandes didn’t help utd win either the PL or CL maybe we were right to not go throwing money around on him.

The interesting thing is I didn't put any spin on it either way. I didn't criticise Levy. I simply laid out the facts. We did not make Sporting a financial offer that they were willing to accept.
This has been known for 5 or 6 years at this point. You are so determined to defend Levy from what you perceived as a slight that you are trying to defend him from an attack that doesn't even exist.
If you think the problems this club have suffered from specifically this season but also the 4 seasons leading up to this one occured purely because Levy was no longer in charge from September the 1st 2025 than my friend I don't think you actually understand how complex organisations work and instead you are just so in awe of Levy you literally can't see the wood for the trees.
In simple terms the club's current standing didn't just happen this season it's been a slow and gradual degradation of it's playing staff. Season after season, poor decisions made and after poor decisions. Unlike you I don't sperate Levy from ENIC they are one and the same and together part of the bigger problem. But you keep thinking Levy was some hero despite his decisions directly being the cause of why we are where are.

Fernandes would have been the right player for us though. He was the ideal Eriksen replacement. A high volume chance creator. Yes he's very much a Hollywood passer but what we've lacked since Eriksen left was someone genuinely capable of creating from little or nothing, something Fernandes can do.
Regarding his stint at United you have to remember we were actually the better side at the time, consistently finishing higher in the table. It's not being able to complete signings like Fernandes that flipped things and the likes of United, Arsenal and Chelsea to overtake us. So buying him would have likely made all the difference for us in our context, much more so than GLC did by comparison. Buying quality players is what keeps the squad quality, buying poorer players consistently over time gets you from where we were to where we are now.

Predicted this some pages back when he was sacked, or in a different thread.
What happened? Levy as a minority shareholder started to look at ways to cash out, and didn't consult with the Lewis', he tried to push a deal through so he could exit with the maximum return for his shares. This annoyed the majority shareholders who lost some good faith, and then invested in the club, so diluting Levy's shareholding. Maybe Levy will sell his stake to the Lewis' now, close off any lingering legal disputes and make for a clean-ish exit. He won't get nearly as much as if he had orchestrated a sale of Spurs, but he won't be on the doll! As a minority shareholder your shares are worth less normally.

Does any outsider actually know how the many faces of ENIC works, D Levy and certain members of his family are potential beneficiaries of a discretionary trust which ultimately own 29.88% of the share capital of ENIC Sports and Development Holdings Limited which in turn owns 100% of ENIC Sports Inc.
It is ENIC Sports Inc that are subscribing to the additional shares in Tottenham Hotspur so where exactly does their money come from, to complicate matters further when Charrington joined the board he was described by the club as a director of ENIC , who knows which ENIC.
One bonus it must be a record number of days since any takeover talk.

I'm not quite sure what your saying.
He can sell his shares to whomever he wants. If someone came in at the price he wanted...the deal gets done.
Secondly, The amounts the Lewis's have put in will dilute his holding if they have converted that injection into stock. But the amount they put in is not going to shift his % downwards by much. Furthermore he potentially gets something for that injection. Obviously the 'investment' is intended to make the business better...so it becomes more valuable...so your share (even if reduced slightly) becomes more valuable.
What I guess Levy is weighing up....is he could match their investment to hold his share % as it is BUT as he has no control or active management of the club anymore will be committing £200-300m to an ongoing project that he might simply think 'is being run by idiots' ...so won't make that bet.
