The loaning teams would have paid the vast majority, if not all, his wages in his time with us. This is pretty much pure profit and it’s a good deal for both clubs, he’ll be about the best wide player in that league and they’ve got him for relative peanuts.
I’m with you on that. “Tottenham can never resist a bargain” comes to mind. Leaves a sour taste.

I think they IP checked the twitter storm and realised it all came from Gutterboy.
I think this is a good move all round really. Solomon isn’t quite good enough for top 8 PL but is going to the club likely to be the best in the Championship who then have a reasonable chance of staying in the PL if they get promoted. West Ham get a player proven to be elite at Championship level, who was a big part of Leeds’ promotion and we get a few million quid to put towards another signing.
