One is, James Collins has got a couple goals for Ireland funnily enough and 12 caps, but more importantly is armed with experience of campaigns in the championship alongside other leagues.

Hopefully they can form an excellent partnership, but it's not as simple as "Our wonderkid has played for his country and as such, should walk into the team". The occasional arrogance I see about these moves, talk of guaranteeing minutes as if clubs / managers would agree to that. From Lincoln's perspective, if this move raises the levels of their contracted forwards and keeps Melia on the bench, it's a successful loan but let's hope instead that the young lad has an impact like Brennan Johnson did!

They've a couple of Irish players, Collins and Honohan. They might make it easier for him to settle. It will be a step up from what's he used to bar a couple of European games he's played in for Pat's and looks a good loan move for him.
