Maybe. But I would say we were as good, if not better first half. It could be that the decision to sink into our shells and let them have the ball after we went ahead made them seem much better. They were pretty toothless first half.

Southgate got absolutely destroyed for trying to defend a lead and ending up losing big games. Tuchel deserves the same scrutiny. Frankly, he absolutely bottled it tonight in a manner that is unforgivable. We had zero intent after going ahead and handed all the initiative to them. I maintain that this is a very average Argentina side but it deserved to win tonight and quite frankly 3 or 4-1 wouldn’t have flattered them.
