Dunno what use Arsenal will have for Guimaraes (or even Rogers), all their attackers need to be able to do is punt a ball with remarble consistency to the back post on corners, they have Rice and Saka for that from each side. They just need to buy some more big goons to foul and head in.

We’d better hope that LEGOhead doesn’t sign Dan Burn or Set Pice FC will dominate for years 😱

Don't remember those northerners putting up much of a fight. We need a few lads from the last kingdom, Wessex in the England team.

we seriously need better strikers. people harping on richy read this:

I agree we need better. But if you are going to use very basic stats like that, it doesn't tell you much other than Richarlison is at a similar level whilst playing in a much worse team:

Kroupi - 1,683 minutes of Premier League football 13 goals, 0 assists
Richarlison - 1,960 minutes of Premier League football 11 goals, 4 assists

So Kroupi in a much better side has scored 2 more goals in about 3 less games and Richi has 4 more assists. There is far more to consider in a player but it doesn't scream out lets spend big money on him....

i agree with your point but richy makes it hard for anyone to find him because he doesn't run to create space for himself and when he's made to chase a ball he almost always falls down.

back to kroupi and richarlison - there is almost a 10 year gap in the age and experience (9 years 11 months).
kroupi is likely to get better, richarlison is likely to get worse.

This literally popped up on my feed just now

I hope that all of our squad to are / were at the World Cup do / did their bit to tap up potential recruits and Porro manages to persuade at least one of France’s strike force to join us after the tourney finishes 🤞

United signed Tielemans. Thats a strange one...

Tieleman's is a good player and could be a great fit for United in midfield with Bruno. But his injury history would worry me if we signed him. He just did his hamstring so he will likely miss any preseason he might have done after the World Cup, which will make it harder to fit into a new team. He also has consistent soft tissue issues.

He's missed 63 games since 2017, with most of them all being groin/calf muscle issues.

He's a really good player, will improve them though given his age probably not a long term solution.

Good player no doubt but plays in patches. 3 excellent games then goes off the face of the earth for the next 4. I really wanted him when Leicester went down. Excellent on his day though.
