An opportunity for the winning team to lead the whole stadium in a chant of “he’s fat, he’s bald, he likes them twelve years old, Trump the clam”, while stabbing their fingers at him.

any one notice that this world cup ball is VERY fast when shot properly? so many keepers seeing the ball early seems to underestimate its arrival

They've changed the shape of the ball, trying to make it more spherical. Instead to the traditional truncated icosahedron made from 32-panels, this ball is only made from four panels and the seams and texture change the aerodynamics. The Jabulani in 2010 only used eight panels and created some erratic movement that goalkeepers complained about.

The goal Egypt scored did absolutely fly into the net. Hopefully as players get more used to it we'll see some screamers.

Sure Kane has already practiced 10,000 shots or so with it...

International football could be making a comeback imv.

With the robotic sanitation of the PL this season, where everything is so thoroughly thought out and highly programmed, it's nice to see some 'traditional' football.

Teams going for it (or even just going forward)... individuals playing off the cuff, attacking intent.

The standard of football has lifted though, as even teams that would be considered minnows can play a bit.

Maybe the Prem players find hooking up with their national teams a form of relief. Just a whole load more fun?

And from our perspective, considering what we have had to watch the last two seasons....I've almost forgot football can be like this.

So, according to this, the ball is creating more drag and is SLOWER than previous world cup balls.

Embarrassing. How can you have a team participate in sport in your country, but not allow them to stay there. Not to mention it's a huge disadvantage for them having to travel for every match,
They were meant to stay over post game for recovery BUT were told they'd be leaving for the airport right away.
