I would add a 'what's causing' to Rob's question (and your answer)...anger and fear are enormous components. In fact, add those to what you've stated above and it is a horrendous brickshow...

People are typically angry when the government goes against their wishes.
- Anyone in a position of influence telling people to get out on the streets and protest.
- Anyone using a violent act to stir up more anger and then harnessing that anger for their own ends.
- Anyone blaming “immigration” as a catch-all answer.
Disinformation is probably the biggest issue there is. Alot of the fear and anger is misdirected. And many of the things they fear aren't even a threat in the sense they see it. The cause of their woes isn't the reason they think it is.
I'd add that one too.
None of these work for rob. He wants to make it out about race. And he is a victim of disinformation in my view.
