It's almost a night and day difference in his play style and approach being played mainly on the left and Girona and having the freedom to be their attacking catalyst and his time at City where he was very much just a cog in the city much more restricted and played on his weaker right hand side which changes his game style dramatically.

I agree, and it has had me questioning whether the game currently has room for this sort of player (sadly)? Looking at the England squad for WC, it appears not really, and TBH, I think it is such a shame!
