In my state of relief over yesterday's result I scrolled back over the predictions made on here for the last 6-7 games and came to the conclusion nobody on here has a bloody clue about our chances. If we had been right we would have been safe weeks ago.

A couple of months ago I said I was quitely confident of us staying up because despite us being in the bottom 3, because of the law of averages we would have a run of form. At the same time I didn't think West Ham would flop as bad as they have - I've never taken mine or anyones predictions seriously as we are all right sometimes and wrong other times.

I remember the Sky predictions a few weeks ago, it's hard enough getting one game right let alone a whole cluster:

Amazing some people on here.
We've just had a great result yesterday which leaves us needing in reality a point from our last 2 games and yet some are still so negative.
I'm not talking about 'counting our chickens' etc. as I'd never do that and we need to make sure we finish the job but some cannot help themselves with 'yeah but who's gonna fudge up and cost us' and similar comments.
I understand the negativity as it surrounds our club, just wish some on here would try and been a bit more positive and see what we've been doing well of late.

With both our records at Stamford Bridge and home form this season being bad this is no time for complacency from the boys. HOWEVER... we'd all have jumped at this if you'd told us we'd be in this scenario a month ago wouldn't we?!

Chelsh*t would have been licking their lips at the prospect of sending us down and now not only are we likely to stay up even if we lose tomorrow but we could pretty much guarantee survival with just a draw at theirs.

I do believe we will be a totally different animal next season under RDZ aswell.

Sounds like Romero is leaving. Senesi might be his replacement and is good. I hope Romero doesn’t leave but I know not many agree with me.

For a team like us, squad players also need to be mainly starters. I'd like a squad where, yes, there's a few who you'd pretty much always pick if possible but we'd be pretty happy for any to start. And I think Senesi and Trafford could well be that.

We've already got 40 odd squad players. We need to bring in 3 players who will instantly be 3 of our top 5 players. Quality not quantity

Senesi and Robertson are free transfers. I’m less fussed with Robertson but if we can get them in paying lower fees, there’s still going to be signing on fees and wages etc, then that may save us money to sign key players elsewhere.

I agree if Romero leaves Senesi would give us instant PL experience, I'm not sure if Robertson brings much to the table other than being left footed, he's not wanted by an average Liverpool set up and I've not liked his attitude in the past, but I not a fan dirty players.

Tbf this is the “we are staying up” thread, a place for positive posts. If you go to the “we are going down” thread you’d see even worse predictions!
