Does feel like crooked Joe’s nepo-babies simply watched Moneyball on Netflix and thought that would be a great idea to try out in the EPL.

Unfortunately they’ve discovered that soccer is a different kettle of fish and when you buy cheap you end up having to buy twice… or in the case of our managers, THRICE!!!

Meanwhile they seemed to think they could skimp on the overhaul of our medical department which Munn recommended and that bit of penny-pinching might end up costing ENIC tens of £millions, as our squad continues to lurch from one injury crisis to the next 💸

I can't really speak for Frank but I can speak for myself. We were brick last season so being the best player or more accurately winning the fan appreciation award is damp praise imo.

Bergvall has talent and he's one of the bunch that I think can and will make it to a good level. However at this stage, he's not the high level ball distributor that this team needs. So again it makes sense to me at least that he wasn't thrown into that position and given that responsibility.

At the same time I also think we don't really have anyone who suits the role to a high level so maybe Bergval is as good an option as anyone but I don't see him as the solution and we needed solution this season.

If we were competently ran then we would have Xhaka/Gomes esque player at the base and that would be a foundation upon which Bergvall might be allowed to shine, instead we have what we saw this season.

As long as he is timid and will not make life difficult for VV or JL, plus has a penchant for ball-carrying midfielders, he has a great chance of landing the job.

Or we could hire an A++ character who wants to work with RDZ and get the type of players they both agree are what we need (goal-scoring CF, effective LW, ball-playing CM etc). But that isn’t going to happen as there is a chance they may disagree with VV and JL and make them cry.
 
Hopefully Lange’s next clanger won’t be to replace Muani with Ayew 🙏

I recall, I can't quite remember who it was but Jesus why would anyone want to sign him at this point. But then I see the praise we give brick players we already and yeah maybe it does make sense.

In fairness I think this dog is lovely, so just know I'd give you tons of treats and you'd be the happiest pup in the world!!!! :-)

My neighbor has one of those, adorable little guy, whenever I see him he’s got a ball or a pair of socks at my feet for me to throw for him before I can blink. I saw a documentary once who said they could learn hundreds of words - the smartest dog breed, apparently. The neighbor dog just has this cleverness about him, you can see in his eyes that there’s a smart guy in there.

Anyways - Lange. We can do better. Apparently the Dortmund fans are laughing at the prospect of us getting their guy, as he isn’t exactly well regarded over there. Are any sporting directors? Do we really need them? What’s the point of having a sporting director buying players when the managers we hire play completely different styles? We’re idiots. Let the manager get his players and instead just hire managers that plays a similar style of football. Money saved on not having a crap sporting director.

The Sporting director will have more than just the men's team, he will also have the relationships with agents and other clubs, he will work with board on budget, he's another judge of the manager's performance and expected performance, he will work on loans and selling.

Even if we went, fudge it, RDZ, you tell us players and profile you want, there is still a lot of work to be done.
