*** The official 2025/26 Premier League thread ***

I've been attending football matches since 1958 and can't remember a season where I have heard so much booing of home teams, it's not restricted to relegation threatened teams even the team top of the table get it. The behaviour of so called supporters is disgraceful, they act like small children when their self proclaimed right to win every game is denied. One of the reasons I stop going to our home games was the awful reactions to the team and managers by people around me. My dad always told me if you can't accept defeat you shouldn't play the game.

They said earlier on Talksport, if Villa win the EL and get into the CL via the league too then 6th place in the PL gets their second spot
I read it’s only if Villa finish 5th and win the EL. It’s highly unlikely but there’s some strange circumstance where Brentford could be 6th and clear of 7th going into the last game of the season and if Villa are 5th and win the EL midweek before the last league game, then Brentford would get champions league but only if they lose to Liverpool who are 4th.

I was at the Liverpool game today as a mate couldn’t go so I had his ticket. Them not making the CL is a possibility. They play the dreaded Frank horseshoe

No one has the metal to see out difficult things these days. It’s pathetic.

Might not be a popular opinion on here but I don't want Arsenal winning tomorrow. I see us getting enough points anyway don't need a favour from that lot.

A draw please.
The Goons are going to win the title again someday like it or not - I'd rather they do it when doing us a favour. I don't know what people are so worried about with the Goons winning the league, we've seen it multiple times before - pretty sure everyone lived another day and got on with their lives when it happened and I'm sure will do so again just like you do with various other things you don't enjoy.

It's great you see us getting enough points, but none of us have an idea what's going to happen unfortunately and that point could end up being crucial. I hope the Goons spank them and decimate any fight they have left in them....
