ENIC

Villa turned themselves back from a yo-yo club to being the 3rd side pretty quickly due to their infrastructure.

Agreed. I think we can get up again pretty quickly. But our valuation seems very toppy right now. For it to recover to the extent that it is now I think is a different conversation. I think we’d have to be back in the CL within 2 years of relegation for it to be seen as a strange blip in an otherwise momentous growth story of Tottenham.

But if we don’t come straight back up, or if we hover around mid table when we do, my hope is that it’s not worth it for the nepos. And that someone makes a really good offer to take it off their hands. Otherwise the risk for them is that the valuation can go down further.

And they’re back

Proof if any is needed that they are a load of tossers [imo], what we need at this moment is for ALL fans to get together and cheer to try and lift us from the posistion we find ourselves in. What we do not need [imo] is some self important tossers stirring more brick.

If they feel the need to flap their gums and stir the brick at least they should wait until the season ends. What any real supporter of our club should be doing is GET BEHIND THE TEAM to try and get us out of this situation, tossERS all of them IMO. Of course everyone has a right to complain about our situation but at this time any REAL supporter would/should not try and make the situation worse by doing what they are doing, IMO

Trouble is our fans can’t do that, they can’t continue to cheer/encourage the team on if we go 1-0 down, if we are playing a poor half - it’s about booing the team as loudly as possible at half time further eroding any confidence/will to move forward.

While it is the players responsibility to play good football, to excite the fans and make them believe it becomes the fans responsibility to encourage the players when that’s not happening - at least when near the bottom of the table. When facing diversity against Palace when down to 10 do you think Everton/Forest/even hammer fans would have left in mass? Or would they have roared the team on harder?

Just my opinion anyways

Decent size stadium, big fanbase etc

It's certainly worrying. We were proud of getting ahead of those clubs like Villa, Everton, Saudi Sportswashing Machine. It was our narrative that we all apparently had the same opportunity when ENIC took over but Levy forged us ahead of them. Now we find ourselves scratching our heads why our own club can't be run as well as theirs. If it was, we'd still be ahead of them.

Much less likely to sell, certainly straight away, I’d think. They’ll see hundreds of millions (possibly even £1 billion+) knocked off their value overnight. They’ll want to get us back up at the first time of asking to get some of that value back on before they even consider selling.

Medium term, though, they might be quicker to get rid; they’ll have been exposed to the risk.

The biggest worry is we go down but don’t bounce straight back up.
I don't think we do

Remember we used to make fun of Leicester and say we’d rather have had our last 10 years than a PL title, FA Cup but with the caveat of a relegation? We don’t even have the PL title and domestic trophy 😂

Heck even sodding Portsmouth have an FA Cup to show for their time in top flight and Redknapp’s side claimed the scalp of a prime ManU team that had Ronaldo + Rooney + Tevez in attack which denied Ferguson the glory of another Treble.

If I could like this twice, I would. I’m fudging furious at these tacos for organising a protest at games we need to win to avoid absolute humiliation and severe damage to the club. It’s self important nonsense that achieves absolutely nothing.

I’ll be at the Everton game and, regardless of whether we are well safe at that point or dead and buried, I’ll happily lend my support to any protest against the ownership. I’m carrying a lot of anger and frustration at the moment so I’ll only be too happy to vent on that day. But if these roosterwombles sabotage us by protesting in the meantime when the team needs our support more than ever, I’ll have nothing to do with any official protest on the last day.

There is nothing to be gained by protesting now. Nothing. It just damages us. Due to their utter ineptitude, the owners can’t do a fudging thing to save us aside from a change in the dugout which is not the aim of the protest.

Change for Tottenham missed a big chance to make world headlines, if only they had gone down to Sothebys auction last week and chucked things at lots 16, 17, 18 and 19 , all very expensive art works (rubbish in my opinion), from the Lewis collection, that would have got them some publicity.
