Interim manager thread 2.0

One thing that gives me a bit of hope is that after the disallowed goal, when we played with 5 mins of intensity we scored.

I think all the talk about 'players are better than being coached' needs to stop. Two seasons of league form shows they are in fact not, the amount of basic errors, techincal and mental quite cleary show the level of the players.

Right now two things are needed;

1. Getting them to play at some sort of intensity with some sort of consistentcy. Even 2nd half regardless of what Palace were doing we looked better by Porro clipping it forward and being more willing to run. We have to play teams around us who are equally as brick, they need to be out run, fought, and pressured.
2. Whether is be Gray, Xavi, even Romero, we have to play someone in centre midfield who can pass the ball forwards. I would lay a lot of our issues on the fact we are unable to progress the ball vertically, Not cause, of Frank or Igor or horseshoes, but because we ain't got a play that will receive the ball, control it and play a forward pass. Wharton in our team yesterday and we'd win. We simply have to find someone who can play in there.
Gray can play a pass forward. Bentancur was doing it in previous seasons but his stats has shown that the amount of forward passes he attempted fell off a cliff under Frank. While we don't have a prime Glenn in our side we have players that can get it forward if we set up right with the instructions to do it. In the second half there was a lot more intent and forward play.

This is a minimum requirement but it doesn't happen and it doesn't even look like it will apart from in small parts in the games we play
Forest, Wolves, Leeds, Hammers, Burnley all appear to have more about them that us
I feel the players are so arrogant and think they are so much better than they actually are
This arrogance goes back years for me, it's a rotten culture we've had at the club and still have

Not really the right thread but for anyone in the Brentwood area

Maybe someone can ask him about taking on managing us as an emergency🙂 (effort to make it relevant to the thread).
Sorry to miss it actually as if Harry is anything, he’s entertaining.

Perhaps we should offer Glasner an escape route from Palace, what with Oliver having won as many matches at nWHL as any of our permanent managers since the start of last year!!

Gonna buy me and @parklane1 a couple of tickets. Be great to get him a pic with 'Arry and an autograph while they discuss their shared love of VAR.

'Triffic.

Only one man for cup finals. Jose Mourinho, get him in now. Give him a three year contract, let him save us and then sack him.

Redknapp is 79 and hasn’t managed for ten years or so at this level.

Big Sam? Pardew? McClaren? Warnock? Moyes? Sherwood?
I mean more of an advisor role with someone else like Sherwood. The players need a lift out of the defeatist rut they are in and be given jobs to do on the pitch they are comfortable with and gain confidence from.

Makes sense and makes me shudder at the same time
