Bissouma must be thinking why on earth did he have to miss out on playing in a Super Cup (which we probably would’ve won had he been available to come off the subs bench when we needed fresh legs at the end of regulation time) when the likes of Romero are getting away with similar levels of indiscipline without any punishment…
It should not be brushed over that Frank faced serious issues in terms of player behaviour and dynamics that he was not able to solve. Discipline and time-keeping were always a concern. After Spurs lost so painfully to Arsenal, Frank lectured his players in the dressing room about standards dropping. The next day, multiple players — including Cristian Romero — still turned up late.
There are managers who will impose their authority through fear. Doubt that was Frank - and I respect him for that.I don't think you can compare these 2 scenarios:
a) Biss doing balloons and consistently turning up late with his nonchalant air giving off vibes of "who cares"
b) Arse absolutely destroying us and Eze scoring 3 goals from zone 14 with nonchalant ease, because Frank set us up poorly and refused to ever defend zone 14 properly throughout the entire season, resulting in several players thinking "Fk this, let's all come in late to show Frank we think he is an idiot"
A manager not finding a way to have that authority in any way should always be seen as a red flag. Can always blame the players I guess, but I also think that's just what happens.
Yeah, they did run through brick walls for Ange. Says a lot about Frank that he couldn't get the same out of them.If that is even partly true then we need to get rid of a load of our squad. Not only are many of them bang average but they don’t seem to have a professional bone in their bodies.
“The players ran through brick walls for Postecoglou…” Makes you wonder how they still lost 22 PL games. Doesn’t say much for their quality.

One other way of imposing authority is through mutual respect, belief, the players really believing in the manager and what he's doing.
