Not a bad movie either
A hint of Moroder in that.
From the brilliant Underworld who played two banging shows at Brixton (well, three but I saw two)...this is the original version of what became "Dark Train" for those who are interested...

I guess his audio fingerprints are on all electronic music, but that particular tune doesn't hide it. GHod, I'd love to have seen him. Well jealous.Absolutely.
They love Moroder...he was an influence on their early '2nd phase' from 1993 on...I have had the pleasure of seeing Moroder DJ. What a shape maker!

I've caught Underworld a few times. fudging brilliant. My middle child (17) went to see a DJ I had never heard of there a couple of weeks back. Some french guy called McVicar or something like that. It was house music, I presume, but I think he closed out with Born Slippy.
They're enjoying a huge renaissance with a whole new audience thanks to Pink Panthers sampling Dark Train and smashing a Boiler Room festival set. I first saw them 30 years ago and have been to many shows since...6 in the last two years, including these two. They speak to every part of me like very, very few others...
...on a semi-related note, I finally saw Jean Michel Jarre a decade ago and that was just brilliant. He's also a prototype influence for them I suspect, and one of my childhood memories is my Dad bringing the debut Oxygene home in 76 (or was it 77?) anyway, I was mesmerised. It's a timeless album...
Also seen Underworld a few times over the decades and one my favourite nights might’ve been when I welcomed in the new millennium at Alexandra Palace; still got my lanyard hanging around somewhere…
Apity that that camera phones weren’t commonplace back then to have a couple of snaps as a memento, as recall being stood alongside The Chemical Brothers and Noel Gallagher when New Order started their set just after midnight… back when I could jump up and down all night without having to worry about aggravating the sciatica
