I wouldn't touch any of the bottom 2/3s - people who have been out of the game too long.
Mason and Heitinga are the obvious two. Mason edges it for me as he has track record of delivering in the role. He's also the perfect bridge to Poch (or any progressive coach) following him, as he's to some extent a disciple/plays a similar style.

He's got that disaster at Ajax in his only go in the #1 seat hanging over him though. Jol had been very successful as a manager in his own right for a number of years

When you look at the names on the list you can see no outstanding candidates. We need a manager that can get the best out of the players we've got, I don't know if Frank is the man as he's not had all the players to work with.
If we get a new manager it's more than likely we get a "system" guy, something I dislike, tactic are essential but I don't want to watch the negative type of football most teams play.

To many that's irrelevant, the die is cast on Frank's style of play. Most who called for a pragmatic approach now find it too boring and not producing the results they thought would come.
I believe the main problem is we have no quality forwards, Solanke has just returned from long injury and none of the others look capable of scoring, without a goal threat we will struggle against all teams no matter who our manager is.

So so true. We have no goalscorers. No-one who can score from outside the box. I'm amazed we let Scarlett go on loan. The lack of investment in decent goalscorers is bizarre: we once had Berba, Keane and Defoe in the same team. Now we have Dom, Richi and Muani. Deserves a P45 for Mr Lange

Right now we are looking for a new manager energy bounce, that's it.
Get something from what we have. Stay just above Forest and West Ham - which is going to be tough. West Ham have hit great form, Forest have the exact manager you want in their position.
You know what, I think Moyes might be our best bet.
Not many managers experienced in staying up about - Dyche and Moyes, no one else springs to mind
Edit - Moyes is at Everton. I thought he was unemployed. That's how little I give a brick these days.
So yeah, relegation it is. I'll be very surprised if it isn't.
