I think the loan is for thatIt might be to pay off transfer debt. Which would make more sense if we had a big bill incoming.

Actually £100m of cashflow would be very welcome at THFC. We are fine on PSR and can sustain a decent level of year on year transfer spending. Cash flow is probably our most pressing concern right now (though I would argue a good stadium sponsorship all ploughed in to paying off capital on our stadium debt would also be sensible)So they reckon that the Lewis family are ready to invest £100m into the transfer kitty, they do realise thats fudge all nowadays right? Are they going to pay the wages we will need to spend to get a next level player in?
We didn't outbid Villa by 10m. They wanted a loan, we wanted to buy. Some encouraging signs, I think, given that we got rid of Johnston early, rather than spending the month haggling over trying to squeeze an extra £4.50 and a bag of training balls out of Palace; and we apparently blew Villa out of the water by outbidding them by £10 million for Gallagher and offering him a permanent contract.
Daniel wouldn’t even be beginning to think about doing any business yet. Wayyyyy too early.
Probably outdid Villa on wages as they got themselves into a mess on finances. We didn't outbid Villa by 10m. They wanted a loan, we wanted to buy.
Come on mate, if Levy was still here you’d be absolutely spewing about this window so far. Zero net spend, only a few days to go, sold our top scorer, etc etcSome encouraging signs, I think, given that we got rid of Johnston early, rather than spending the month haggling over trying to squeeze an extra £4.50 and a bag of training balls out of Palace; and we apparently blew Villa out of the water by outbidding them by £10 million for Gallagher and offering him a permanent contract.

Is Simons classed as a Vinai signing now then? I heard it phrased as a Levy panic buy a month or so ago.Transfer net spend is always worked out by every source like Transfermrkt over the two windows of a season so it shouldn't really be classed as zero net spend so far and from past history the January window is nowhere near as active as the summer also we have a world cup approaching so some players maybe wary of moving.
If the Simons wage deal is true as our equal highest earner then things are changing under Vinai.
No idea but as Vinai was made CEO back in April almost certainly by the Lewis's and Charrington was added in March to the board I would think Vinai & Lewis's had a big say in the Simons financial deal and for him to come in on equal wages to Romero ( according to places like Capology) at the tender age of 22 doesn't look like the way Levy has worked over the years. Is Simons classed as a Vinai signing now then? So he’s credited with the sacking of Ange, appointing Frank, MGW and Eze saga’s as well? Or is it just the positive stuff in that period we can attribute to him?No idea but as Vinai was made CEO back in April almost certainly by the Lewis's and Charrington was added in March to the board I would think Vinai & Lewis's had a big say in the Simons financial deal and for him to come in on equal wages to Romero ( according to places like Capology) at the tender age of 22 doesn't look like the way Levy has worked over the years.
This window isn't the one to judge them on, it's the summer one that will be more telling....Let's see how we feel at the end of the window
Unless you are fronting some more unearned income yourself...then competitive wages can be offered but it will mean you have less to spend on fees.Smart man vinai... competitive wages I'm sure will be a game changer for us in the recruitment of players

What could be helping (vanai to say this) is our wage bill has some headroom as many of our high earners have moved on.
