It would be the same style of play though wouldn’t it?Think we need to move for Glasner before Chelseas get him

It was about all that kept me awake tonight at the game. We are the worst team to watch in the league.

We're favourites for the title at the moment but that could all change if Frank gets a podium spot in the sack race....I think the 'worst team to watch in the league' title race is super exciting this season.![]()
I have been to Anfield several times and the atmosphere is as bad as oursCommentators keep mentioning how poor the atmosphere is at Anfield for the Leeds match this evening and they don't get beaten at home very often.
I agree. For me, I can watch la liga and see technically superior teams. Premier League only has better players because of the money.I can't name a team that I enjoy watching personally. But I think the standard of football in the Premiership is poor and has been for years. Sky Sports keep telling me otherwise though.

Premier League (England)
The undisputed leader in global viewership. Broadcast in over 180 countries with a potential audience exceeding 4.7 billion, it averages around 643 million viewers per match and leads in digital engagement. Record stadium attendance topped 15 million in the latest season. Massive TV deals and competitive balance make it the most watched league worldwide—no close rival in broadcast revenue or international appeal.
I would introduce half point goals for ones scored from set pieces. I think that would reintroduce emphasis on open play creativity.there's a general malaise at the moment around top level football, and the English top flight is probably the most affected. This seems to be down to the fact that the top managers are stifling creativity and instead instilling pattern play in such a way that the football becomes predictable and dull. Add to that the fact that we seem to f*ck VAR up more than any other league, and the standard of officiating in general is in the gutter, and we're not getting anything like the entertainment there was a decade ago from the league.
Its likely to be a phase and sooner or later the Guardiola/Maresca/Glasner/Arteta era will be over and there will be less demand for pragmatism and more for, well, Ange I guess.
Having half points is weird. The rest is not too GB-land.I would introduce half point goals for ones scored from set pieces. I think that would reintroduce emphasis on open play creativity.
As well as abolishing VAR , i would also introduce a UEFA wide refereeing pool, and randomly allocate them 24 hours before the match. I would also have 1 referee for each half of the pitch (like ice hockey and netball)
Its not too different to 2 pointers and 3 pointers in basketball. I just would prefer to halve easier goals, rather than double standard onesHaving half points is weird. The rest is not too GB-land.
When is a set piece goal a set piece goal? Do direct free kicks count? What if a pass is played from the free kick and the player then scores? What if a short corner is taken?I would introduce half point goals for ones scored from set pieces. I think that would reintroduce emphasis on open play creativity.

You'd probably need a rule like there has to be 3 touches from 2 different players after the restart to count as an open play goal, or something like that. I'd probably demote direct freekicks and penalties to half goals, but would need to think through the unintended consequences (potentially making technical fouls more prevalent etc.)
