reasons for that totman ?

adebayor from what i can remember offered nothing today - Bale was poor, definitely, but got involved a damn sight more than Ade

Though he held it up well, and laid it off well. Movement was good, but had zero to work with.

Bale did nothing first half, took a Swan Lake moment, mis-kicked a clear shot on goal, missed a 1 on 1 sitter, and generally just ran into their defenders and got tackled.

Am I the only person that was disappointed when Adebayor came off?

I thought he put a shift in tonight

I think we'd have been under less pressure had we kept him on when Saha came on

I would've taken off Kranjcar

I agree with all of that except the Livermore comment. I, and most of the commentary team, thought he did very well, and is continually improving. Sure, he didn't put in a noticeable, MoM performance, but was solid and reliable, with very few mistakes.

I personally felt he wanted too much time on the ball. Livermore, Walker and Ekotto were the biggest offenders today of giving the ball away cheaply and putting us back under pressure. They were also the three big reasons we often struggled to get out and got pegged back in. But I do feel sympathy for the full backs because we had no other width or easy outballs for them to play. When Lennon isn't playing Bale has to stay wide left AFAIC, to at least give us some sort of width.

Friedel- 8 Good experienced keeping what you would expect
Walker- 7 defended well, attacking not so much
King- 8 Imperial
Dawson- 8 Colossal
Ekotto- 6 not a bad game but not a good game

Parker- 6- Extremely brave put his body on the line, but not on the same level as other players when it came to actually playing football. Time and time again he put team mates under pressure. Some good blocks, but some awful clearances and decision making when he had time on the ball in our box to clear it or find a man
Livermore- 8 challenged well not phased, kept his composure and one of the only players to keep possession well.

Kranjcar- 6.5 worked hard in defence nothing came off in attack.
Modric- 7 - industrious but should have taken more risks int he second hald
Bale- 6 - Didn't work as hard but liverpool had 3 men on him at all times and were very rough.

Ade- 5 - off his game today, not good with back to goal

Saha - n/a - at least he turned up which is more than what Pav has done recently.
Rose - n/a

I honestly can't take anything you say seriously anymore. You are normally a good poster but your clearly on a windup when it comes to Parker. EVERYONE not just Spurs fans said Parker was MOM.

Friedel - 8, didnt put a foot wrong
Walker - 6, should have given Johnson a tougher time
BAE - 5, stop dragging back and play a simple earlier ball or it'll cost us
King - 8, good to see him leading well again
Dawson - 8.5, handled Carroll well
Livermore - 8 did his job well and kept the ball full of running
Kranjcar - 8 did someone elses job well
Modric - 7 decent retention but needed to be braver
Parker - 9 BEAST
Bale - 5, needed him to step up tonight and he didn't
Adebayor - 7, for dealing with an entire half of a pitch by himself, thanks Ade

Subs:
Saha - 7 won a suprising amount in the air
Rose - 6, anonymous for his five minutes

And a couple of Liverpool if I may:
Carroll - 7 looked sharp, Liverpool unremarkable but he looked hungry and dangerous
Johnson - 9 Walker and Bale should have given him a tougher time but a helluva performance on the wrong flank

Friedel 8 - Actually didn't have loads to do but did everything he had to without any fuss.
Walker 7 - Solid game from the guy but needs to sort his distribution out
Dawson 8 - The tackle in the 1st half when Carroll was through was a watershed moment for him. After that I knew he was going to be great and he was.
King 8 - Usual majestic performance.
Benny 6 - Always showed for the ball but his decision making and passing were very poor. He's had a run of average performances of late.
Bale 6 - Not too worried about the miss as he was knackered by then. But this was one of his off nights I thought. I think he needs to get back to the left hand side and tone down the roaming.
Modric 6 - Some nice passes aside though he didn't drive forward with the ball enough.
Livermore 6 - Solid if unspectacular. Faded in the 2nd half.
Kranky 6 - Was our best player in the 1st half and hit a beautiful ball to Bale for our best chance near the end. Some nice tackles too but was not involved enough in the 2nd half, maybe fitness issues still.
Parker 8 - Very gutsy performance towards the end of the match but not progressive enough in his passing for me, and might have been lucky not to get a 2nd yellow. Absolutely crap in the first half I thought.
Ade 5 - Contributed very little. Held the ball when he should have released it. Poor control and multiple occasions. His worse performance to date.
Saha n/a

Delighted with the point but overall I though we were poor, in an attacking sense anyway. Our excellent defending was out of necessity and we made a load of cloggers look better than they were. Playing 2 DM's will almost guarantee you this type of defensive performance, but it was a good point considering their recent run of form and our missing players.

well you're entitled to you opinion mate but i wouldn't say Adebayor held the ball up or laid it off well at all, quite the opposite in fact - agree he had nothing to work with though

marked them both as poor as each other tbf, but for slightly differing reasons

I thought Krancjar had a really good game. He got back and supported Ekotto regularly. Adebayor fudged it up everytime we had an attack. Didn't make any good runs and looked disinterested IMO. If only we had a striker like Hernandez, with his movement we'd be lethal.

Well being a WUM is not against rules I guess, so nothing to report. Spoils it for Spurs fans though, but oh well, its better to give genuine members the warnings I suppose.

 Yes, is it that obvious? I joined a couple of weeks ago but this is my first night of posting. I've supported Spurs since the Champions League last season.[/QUOTE]

Damn!! It's started. And we havn't even got the new stadium yet. #-o
