I think Gray can provide good cover for Palhinha and we should use him in that position more often. We have enough CBs for the future

He was pretty scathing of the performance. Said it wasn’t good enough and hinted the effort wasn’t either. Gray also said the performance was very very disappointing.

They only showed a bit of Frank’s interview but he also said we were lucky and Monaco were better than us.

It's the old conundrum whether you like players who takes chances and loses the ball, or players who keeps possession but creates nothing, As of now we have players who tries to play it safe and fails. I hope/trust Frank to sort that out eventually, but it would be nice to see arrows pointing upwards rather than downwards. We started out so well, but has lost all movement and as it seems, confidence.

We could start by pushing Simons out on the wing where I think his skillset is better utilized, he hasn't convinced me yet that he's particularly suited to creating much through the middle. And we're lacking at left flank, Tel is a dud and while I believe Odobert will come good he's not ready yet.

I am not opposed to playing Muani at CF while Richy is not playing well, he may even be better than Richy as a player, but the LW position is just abysmal and I would rather play him there than seeing Odobert, Johnson or Tel on the field atm. Long balls on an isolated CF is not the way a good team plays. We have been spoiled to have Kane and his ability masked a lot of our build up problems. Nowhere to hide now.

You obviously hinted we need another Kane type of player by comparing them and that Richy isn't it. Of course he isn't, no one is atm. Sorry if I came on to strong, it was not my intention

I know it’s been said before, but.. No Dom, Madders or Deki. Simons is new to this league and Muani has played 2 games. Richi is a streaky player at best. Rather than give an arbitrary time for us to improve, I would rather judge us when the offensive options are better and/or more settled. At the moment it is more important that we are defensively solid so we can nick a goal or two. Probably why we are better away than at home too as we don’t have to make the running away like we do at home. I have a lot of confidence in TF and hope the fan base give him the benefit for this season at least. I am a big fan of Iraola too but it took a while for him to embed his plan at Bournemouth (and that was without the pressure of playing every few days) and now every season he seems to get better. I hope we have patience with TF.
 
2 things that gave me hope tonight/yesterday:

1. Frank said something along the lines of "we know what we want to achieve, we know where we are going, we know what we are doing, we know how to get there"

2. The commentator said he saw Xavi Simons tearing the Arse anal apart a couple of years ago and that he is brilliant when he is 'on it'
 
A draw is not too bad imo.
We are not good enough for top 8 and going out early is a blessing in disguise as our injuries start to pile up again.

Richy and Romero may have skills but for different reasons we can't count on them for a multi cup campaign without better quality rotation.
