OMT ** Tottenham Hotspur v Monaco ** 22/10/25.

Second best. Don't like this 4-3-3 pressing shape in this game.

On the ball too sloppy. Some good attacking at times, but too often breaks down with one sloppy involvement.

Tricky with this many players out, but need to up our game a bit in the second half.

Akliouche impressive. We were linked in the summer. Probably on the shortlist behind Xavi. But Akliouche looks more rounded maybe, but he is almost a year older.

Can anyone tell me why Odebert is rated so highly on this forum? In my opinion he is a championship standard player. When he does beat his man, which isn`t often his decision making is terrible. Try to pass or cross usually to the one space where we have no player arriving. I just don`t see why anyone rates him so highly.
There you are, he is nailed on to score and/or assist now!

Scrappy, but we’ve mostly let ourselves down either way poor passing. Lots of under hit, over hit, and basically other than a good ball into a runner.

Even just sorting ourselves out passing wise would lead to chances. I can’t see them not scoring eventually so we need to.

Hopefully the Frank Engine has a cunning plan up his sleeve to get us motoring to victory in the 2nd half…

I don’t think he is that highly rated on here, but I’d say this game is a really unfair one to call him out on.

I would say earlier in the season he was playing it a bit safe, like he was an option out wide whose main purpose was to play Udogie in. I think he’s seizing the initiative a lot more himself now, and considering our entire attack isn’t clicking I’m not going to be too harsh on him when I think he’s improved a lot.

Our corners looked decent; we have the beating of them in the air, we just need to remember to head it downwards into that net thingy.

I'm hoping Frank utilises the subs. It's not as though we are playing well and need to keep doing the same things; we should rest some players and give Sarr et al a chance to play.

The commentator picked out that the Monaco "wide forwards" Akliouche and someone always come inside and thus overpower our Bent/Palhinha midfield, allowing the defenders to give the width.

That is an interesting conundrum and for once it makes sense that Frank is playing both our DMs, as there is a lot for them to handle. Should mean someone else has space e.g. Kudus, but so far... he doesn't.

Always feels like we're playing against 13 men.

Odobert is the least of our problems today, and looks to be growing in confidence with the run of games he's getting....

Yes, I'm pleased Odobert has ignored Gray's runs.
Rather than passing responsibility every time, Odobert needs to grow some balls and deliver the cross himself.
