Thomas Frank - Head Coach

That’s what I mean
Despite the haters, Ange had a plan B
We’re seeing no real plan
Ange also had us paying great football from day 1… it’s all achievable
I would describe it as Sunday league
Hope the great winger can do some magic
We’re better than that
Frank is better than that
Great football that got us nowhere.

And a plan B that got us somewhere that isn't/wasnt too disimillar to what we are seeing now.

Think its better to talk about this on Boxing day tbh.

I think by Boxing Day the pressure will be immense
Unless of course he adapts to the need to play attacking football of some sort
We can of course win games from set plays and be a poor man’s Arsenal
Some would take that and that nah we’ll keep us top 5

I get that he’s only been here 5 minutes, but the buildup play is too slow and lacking in intent. Better forwards will help but it needs improving and quickly. Cant rely on set pieces every week.

Legohead says hola!!

Sadly i fear that for a lot of fans that is not going to happen anymore, christ the guy has been here for a couple of months and is still trying to build a foundation. We should have relized over the years since Pooch left that changing managers because some fans THINK it should happen quicker is not the way to go. I despair sometimes i really do so at some of reactions of a section of our fanbase. :(
Frank was not close to being my choice as manager, but he's here and believe he deserves a minimum of two years to show what he can do, as does any manager.

However, as you say this is modern day football and having seen our fans behaviour in the past he has no chance of that. Problem with playing a bland brand of football is that as soon as results turn you have very little to fall back on, and our home supporters are rather unforgiving and not known for their patience.....

You earn time
In every walk of life you have to earn it by doing something
In football you can be a nice guy and say the right things but you have to show that step in the right direction
He needs to do that and he will be fine

Even now as we speak, he has earnt the time. We are in and around where we would hope to be, and as you have said he is an intelligent guy and I hope it's just a case of him learning on the job which obviously involves being given time.

At this stage the football we are seeing at home is nothing more than a slight concern. It's been a handful of games, but he does need to implement some more creative ideas than what we are currently seeing and certain players missing or not we should be playing better - he doesn't help himself with some of his midfield selections. Looking forward to seeing how he changes things up at home, I'm sure he will come up with better ideas....

I said before I don't think there's any chance he'll be under pressure unless we're in relegation battle.

The man who brought in Arteta and stuck by him over years isn't gonna fold because Frank doesn't win the Champions League in his first season.
