*** OMT Tottenham Hotspur FC v Aston Villa ***

I think that was a decent half by us. Not created a lot, but we're trying, just not really combining all that well, as a "new" team will struggle to. We've missed Romero's passing. Would love a Wharton type for us asap.

we need to have a moan about these ref's, thats 3 goals this season straight after ridiculous missed calls

been pretty comfortable, goal was very soft from our point of view though

It's a good performance so far considering the circumstances. Restricted Villa well, they haven't been able to get going, and we've generally had the better chances and controlled play well.

The circumstances referred to are the injury blows - with Udogie out, Spence on the left negates a good deal of our attacking threat on that side. And Romero out removes our penetrative passing from deep. So, outside of a pretty controlled display, we're largely struggling to create chances through the left and middle.

Think we give it until 60 minutes and then start making changes - would like Bergvall in for Bentancur to add a body to the overloads in the middle, and then perhaps a double switch with Kolo Muani and Richy for Odobert and Tel, both of whom have had moments but haven't yet sparked into life.

It isn't a game for wholesale changes - we're playing reasonably well, and it will be right regardless. Just need the ball to stick more up front, and perhaps move through the middle a bit quicker.

Hmm, one of those showing where we are, bit disjointed, lacking a bit of quality - building phase.

What I would say, this game is there to be won, and it wouldn’t surprise me if someone like Bergvall or Richy come on and make it happen. Xavi needs to get in the game, he’s been largely anonymous so far, Kudus is a proper Spurs player, but again needs a bit more quality operating around him.

It’s definitely winnable, but we’re in that “could be anything” stage of the build. We’re a couple of transfer windows off atm.

We’re stacked in CM. 3 subs today. We need a top quality Left forward/striker.

The trouble with Odebert and Tel is they are both desperate to score and it is affecting their decision making in the box. That and they are both a bit light weight for the Prem
