Politics, politics, politics (so long and thanks for all the fish)

What did they expect? Breaking into military complexes and damaging aircraft?

It's not terrorism agreed but it's not legal. It needs to be nipped in the bud.

We live in a democracy. If you don't like what yhe government does, vote against them. Or have a peaceful protest.
People holding cardbord signs were arrested.

Yeah peaceful protest is off the menu.

For an illegal protest on behalf of what has been deemed a terrorist organisation.

I doubt they'll do much time. But idiots have to learn they can't just destroy stuff in this country if it upsets them.
Holding signs shouldn't be illegal for a cause that isnt terrorism. There is no justification here. This is a slippery slope.

I always look it in the reverse before making any judgement.
Would i feel the same if say the edl/pro israeli/pro russia/ukraine attacked a military complex in this country. Were deemed a terrorist organisation. And there supporters were treated the same way?

Yes.

It might not be terrorism. To me though it is treason. It is acting against the interests of the people of this country.

It is not treason. That is nonsense.

Not what i said.

There should be consequences for actions though. That has been missing for a while. People think they can do whatever they want because they are upset. No.
You implied it. There should be consequences, sure, but terrorism charges for trespass and property damage is nuts. And being arrested for expressing an opinion on those charges is even worse.

Tresspass property damage? It's a military base, damaging aircraft that defend this country and it's population from attack. Can you not see why that is serious?

Russia could just ask a load of idiots to take out all our defences. (See where the funding comes from they probably did).

No country would let them get away with it.

I was working on a lengthy response to this, but I think I won't bother. Hang them all!

It's a military base, exactly - RAF & MoDPlods should be getting an earful for it happening in the first place.

Don't think Greenpeace ever got classed as a terrorist group back in the day, and they destroyed fences, broke onto a nuclear site, painted the blackbird blue and one of them even tried to ram a galaxy. And they broke in a lot more times than most would know too.

This was two Voyagers from all reports, hardly craft that protect the realm (though you could argue their support role does in a fashion.)

There's a difference between "letting them get away with it" and proscribing them as a terrorist organisation. The individuals that did this can be charged with all manner of offences as it is. But they weren't and aren't terrorists.
