Circus ManUnitus - Nobody's At The Wheel

still some will blame the club no doubt? sounds a bit similar to the Grealish saga.

Fernandes was all set for sign for Spurs under Mauricio Pochettino.

The deal was all but done, after five meetings with his entourage and Spurs left Fernandes and his people impressed with the north London club's structure.

"They were absolutely next level when it comes to detail," said a source involved in the talks.

"Even the rooms at the training ground - each one was decorated just like the players' bedrooms at home, the ones they share with their partners.

"The bed was exactly the same. Even the flowers in the garden gave off a scent that's meant to be beneficial - it was mind-blowing.

"There were two weeks left in the window, but Sporting were going to accept it."

The club board, however, changed their mind, holding out for an offer twice as big that never arrived. With the transfer window closing, they made the decision during the Europa League draw in Monaco to sell Raphinha to Rennes instead.

Fernandes was so convinced that he'd be heading to north London that, when Sporting president Frederico Varandas came to explain the situation, he told him to go away.

They've missed out the bit where Daniel Levy fudged it up by ......blah blah blah

Cunha gone down in my estimation if he is really signing for United. To go for a sideways step to a club not in Europe, that are on the decline and have reported financial issues. Shows what his level of ambition must be.

I think that kind of move shows more ambition than just signing for someone like City.

He’s backing himself to make a huge contribution, rather than being happy to ride others coat tails.

The harder path is more ambitious.

Good player but find it strange that Almorim wants Rashford, Garnacho and Sancho gone for attitude / behaviour related issues (may be wrong / assuming there…) but they sign a total clam in Cunha, could be an interesting one if he acts up.

Could be a very big chunk of their budget gone already too.

Yep, If you are spunk a decent fee then it does seem a risk. But then again, with no European football they will need to overpay or take players in that bracket
