There is no way we do what Palace do today in our form IMO and the reason for optimism on Wednesday is the otherside are atrocious

I'm massively optimistic on Wednesday but it's nothing to do with form or Ange

Having said that I watched an interview with him on you tube with tnt sports, think it was this week and it resonated with me. He came across humble and a man who has dreams and aspirations like us all. This is a guy who has had to fight for recognition and respect and he has come very far. Fair play to that and for that I hope he wins the trophy as much for himself as for us and I can wish him well in that note.

Nice to see acknowledgment of who he is as a person rather than some of the wildly assumptive character assassinations I have endured on here which have been fueled by nothing but anger; calling our manager a 'fat c unt' and 'a piece of s hit' is poor poor form...he is, as you said, a human being with hopes and dreams who has had quite a journey.

Not at all, I think the EL has proven with the long league campaign and those that progressed how the quality is below what we are navigating in the PL. People can argue otherwise and that's fine but Rangers are chronically bad and made the QFs, Bodo had some mystical stories written about them but their run was fairytale not all told quality and I think its hard to argue us and United are very good at the moment, so being in the final is hardly a reflection on the cups quality.

Before anyone jumps up and down I will say again, I'm loving being in the final and I will party like no other if we win. But I'm not believing its a masterstroke or the competition is deep like the PL, nor do I believe going into the final in our form, in another year would be a good thing.

I don't think any of that's outrageous TBH

It’s not as hard as the league
Said that last year when I booked the hotel
We had no excuses not making the final.
But we face down everything we needed to do, generally in such a professional way
That for me is really commendable because seeing a team like Bilbao go out so easy and they would have had a home final shows what can happen when you don’t

I just don't believe alot of what's being levelled at times.

I don't think the league form is explained away like its being suggested by some over the past 10 or so pages and never have done and neither do I believe the EL form is a masterstroke against that either.

I think the EL format and strength has meant we have navigated a weaker comp better than we have the PL, simply.

I disagree
mainly because we haven’t played the same players in both comps
If so, I’d agree
I do also believe that the players are protecting themselves in the league games

Is bang on the money. We are playing teams that are lower half of the championship standard it is the only reason we are where we are in Europe.

From behind the couch again, the core of this team does belive we can win the EL, no stupid tweets, no taunting memes, it's all business.
That's down to ange IMHO.
I think we've had more talented squads/teams, I don't think we have had one that has the belief they can win something this one does.
His league form will rightly get him sacked, but I think there is some valuable work he has done behind the scenes that we will not see and appreciate until the process has moved on.
