Antonio Nusa

Call me cynical, but I bet it has more to do with the 70m+ Brentford will be banking from Tony.

If we offered the same money, I’m sure he would sign for us. Money. Makes the world and transfer market go round.
i hope we're not the one stumping that kind of money for Tony

i don't see a lot of non financial reasons where brentford is a better choice

What makes you think there was even a choice between the two clubs? Reports are it never went further than an initial meeting at club level.

If it did go further then Brentford maybe offering a more direct route to the first XI than we can for an 18 year old with little experience.

Was quite looking forward to this lad, but hey ho.
If he has spoken to ange and decided Brentford is the better bet then I can't say I'm that disappointed.

In 2 years he will be worth 3 times… this is a signing that will kick us so in the nuts…
This is the worst thing with the Club, they never go the extra mile to get any players.. he would not go on any loan in Spurs. We do not have any better player than Nusa would be on the left wing
Went the extra mile for Ndombele.

How many players have we bought since paratici has been here?

You might really want the player. Which is fine. But don't be a baby if we don't get him and start crying that we don't ever buy players. Because everyone knows the actual facts. We've bought loads of players in the last couple of seasons.

Out of our starting XI son is the only one from before paratici.

I did not cry over lack of players we bought.. its just that we are always almost there.. and we are happy with the next best players.. I belive Nusa will be better that Ødegaard.. but its ok the supporters are happy with being almost a top Club. Dare if you say a negative thing about how we do things.

Yep if only the club would listen to you they'd win the league. You must be earning £millions advising football clubs on how they should be run.

Lol.

Shame as I think he could be a really special player.

But seems like regularly starting games is important to him (as it should be) and we couldn't promise that. So he made a smaller step up to make sure he got that. What can you do...

Hopefully some other moves we're looking at.

Is it 100% off now? Saw brentford had a bid accepted but has he agreed to go?

TJust wait 2 years and you see..
Its like having a chance signing bellingham and say he will be on rotation. Spurs did not go all the way to get him and the next place he will go is Too a Club that will pay 80-100 mill for him and that is not Spurs. Its players like this that can turn our Club from medio to a top Club.. but if we dont try and get them on the right time and we aint paying 100mill for a player.. what will make us a top Club?
Bellingham was playing regular first team football for Dortmund at 18, come to thing of it he was playing regular first team football for Birmingham at 16 so there is a slight difference.

This was not a case whereby Spurs decided not to sign him because he was too expensive. No, this was a situation where Nusa and his entourage wanted to sign for a club whereby they were "guatanteed" starts. The only person at Spurs that can guarantee you a start at Spurs is Ange, not Levy nor anyone else.

Nusa made a footballing decision and did what was best for him. At 18 sign for a small premier club where he is guaranteed to play knowing that later on, an elite club could come in for him.

Besides,in 2 or 3 years he may well be a fantastic player (for the record I think he will become one), but there is also a possibility that he might not.

I think we have to live with the fact that sometimes very talented players will see a different club as their best move.

Although I don't quite remember the exact situation and we will never know the full story I think it may have been similar with Bellingham. I think a lot of the biggest clubs in England wanted him, but he chose Dortmund because he saw that as the best step for him at that point.

But of course some people will "know" from the outside, without knowing the details of what went on, that the club could have just done a different thing and gotten a different outcome.

Lots of the clubs wanted him
But everyone thought United had him
And United fudged up their pitch to get him … he decided he would be better elsewhere
