Spurs Brentford OMT

Not really
Can easily be to do with space, time and speed of the action
And of course match fitness too
What’s royals excuse for being scared to attack
Royal has no excuse and one shouldn't make an excuse for him either. Every player is responsible for their own actions. Royal was poor as was Sess. That's the simple truth. Royal wasn't holding Sess' hand when he crossed straight into touch or passed to thin air. You're a fan of Sess and you want him to work out but please you're blaming someone on the opposite side of the pitch for Sess being unable to do the basics?

I still don't understand why we don't drop him to left mid for 15-20 mins and get Bergy on. It either gives Harry the space to operate/pass/bring the play OR it leaves space for others. I am sure the thinking is that he is a goalscorer excellence, but he is also the best deep passer we have. Plus Bergy can (as Conte told us) sniff out 9 opps.

Maybe
But if he tries he gives them something to think about
It was his cross that created the rebounded shots we had. He did the right thing and attacked space
Every other time he checked back and bottled it
Watford away said it all about Royal's attacking ability for me. They basically let him have the freedom of the right knowing nothing would come from him and just overloaded on our left.
His confidence has probably taken a bit if a battering and I feel for him, wrong player for a Conte system.

Indeed it is. Doherty isn't the best footballer in the world, but he has a football brain, and makes intelligent runs, and seems to be on the same wavelength as Kulusevski. He's also somewhat of a goal threat, which Royal certainly isn't.
He makes runs
I mean if royal did that it could work

Did you listen to it? You'll see the reference was clearly not just about football!!

Still feels like 2019 to me mate. I still believe.
Despite all the understandable negativity right now, there is another twist or two to come yet. Just like it was obvious when we moved above the Goons we wasn’t just going to go ahead and win all our games and stay 4th, I don’t see them lot doing the same either. The nature of this league, especially towards the end of the season - we will get opportunities to finish 4th, whether we take them is another matter…..

They just showed that corner on MOTD (Son and Sess). Can’t get my head around it. A week of training and a dead ball scenario that is guaranteed to occur in that exact position.

Clearly it didn’t pan out as expected but then they both stood still watching the other one struggle with the ball.

It's not odd when it comes to Spurs. We do it all the fudging time.

Yeah, it's just, these are other players than the cloggers that did it in the 90's. But then again, the mind of a football fan is a bit selective, innit. I feel the same way though.

One of the things that struck me, and really disappointed me was the absolute lack of any urgency. Bentancur several times playing backwards and sideways in the last 10 or so minutes.

It was shocking.

I’m clearly no tactical expert, but is that a function of conte’s automations? Clever tactical peeps, Waddaya think?

The Goons have been extremely lucky the last two games IMO...
