Ledley King

fcuking no justice, Ledley has to retire whilst Terry is still running around

Born is the King of White Hart Lane. Absolute legend of the club deserving of a status up there with Mackay, Blanchflower, Perryman, Hoddle, Mabbut etc.

Shame his injuries got the better of him, for Spurs and England. Best English defender of his generation hands down, won't even enter a debate on this.

Just saw this. Legend really isn't to strong a word for him. There MUST be a testimonial

I think there has to be - one last time seein him play surely?

Unless I missed it - shouldnt there be a testimonial for staying at a club past 10 years?

Nothing more to add. The one ever-present since I've been supporting the club. Always conducted himself in a professional, respectful manner. And my word what a player.

You'll be sorely missed Sir Ledders :(

"I play for Tottenham, you play for fat Gerrard"

Shouldn't joke, we've just lost one of the greatest athletes alive today. I think you could honestly count on your fingers the amount of players that could play to his level by only swimming and running for training for the last few years.

True Tottenham legend. I hope he thinks about getting his badges and having a stab at management one day.

Sad news, but something we've all been expecting for a few seasons now. Fantastic player - what more can be said about him?

Me and a few mates are going to get a flag made up with his face on and 'GHod Save our Gracious King' on it, would be great if we get it done in time for his testimonial.

Born is the King.

I feel a little numb to be honest. I know we all knew this was coming, and I know we're used to seeing him not in the squad for months at a time, but it seems strange that we'll never see him in the squad again.

Numbing news. Absolutely gutted. My all time favourite Spurs player.

The greatest centreback I have seen in my lifetime and England's most naturally talented centreback in the last 10-12 years. A Tottenham Hotspur icon, legend and hero... he has continued playing to the most ridiculously high level throughout his Spurs career, often putting his body and health on the line for this club. Who knows where he could have gone if he'd had a couple of proper knees.

Ledley, you're the King of White Hart Lane, and I hope we give you a testimonal against the standard of opposition you deserve: Real Madrid or Barcelona.

THFC LEGEND.
