Politics, politics, politics (so long and thanks for all the fish)

Defence, roads, providing for those who absolutely cannot (note, not will not), upholding some of the laws we have. There's obviously a need for government, but if they start with an honest attempt to do nothing I think we're most of the way there.
Can you elaborate on "cannot"?

So social democratic coutries don't have healthcare for their kids? Schools, universities or a police service?

Would you really prefer to live in a communist country than one using the nordic model?

Any country that affords it's people governemt supplied amenities, is in part at least socialist. That is my point. Social democracy is just a label.

Where they can talk about it for six hours, Jeremy Hunt or Yvette Cooper can pretend they’re important for a day, it gets 20 seconds on the evening news, and (corrupt) business goes on as usual.

It should be like football where they got a suspension. They should then go back to their constituency and explain why they were suspended and be up to the local party whether they get deselected.

We the people deserve better.

There is big differences. Socialism believes that the means of production, distribution and exchange should be owned by the community as a whole. Social democracy believes in a regulated capitalist mixed economy. While providing social welfare provisions.
