***** OMT Tottenham v Manchester United *****

Given Romero/Royal we’re the only ones to turn up today I’m willing to give him a few more windows.

Romero
Royal
Gil
Gollini
Sarr

2 for the future/1 back up keeper

it’s not a bad first window - but the damage to the squad will take more than 2/3 windows
In 2/3 windows we will be fighting relegated

Romero is on Loan with an option. Carry on like this and he won’t be coming back after this season. Will be plenty of suitors on the basis of what he has shown.

I have suspected for a long time that it doesn't really matter who we have as a manager with this group of players. It's just different shades of paint on a broken car, a car that not long ago wasn't just working, but working well. This is not due to tactical errors or an unbalanced squad. This is organizational, and has been for a while. I also believe there are players at the club who must be removed. Not from the squad, but from the club. This is reminiscent of the dark years where we once in a while could play a sensational game, but generally be kinda crap. And the players didn't care whether we were or not. It's like Steffen Iversen implied after he joined the club, the players didn't bond. They didn't care. They played games, collected wages and took the occational win. apart from that most didn't give two sh*ts about the club. I strongly suspected Toby to be one of the players with a negative impact, but he's gone, nothing's better and I humbly apologize for my unclean thoughts.

Kane is a fantastic player, but he doesn't really commit himself anymore. That's not saying that he isn't bothered or won't score goals, it's just that *for us* he won't be the same as he was. He's still better than probably any striker we could attract, and probably the most "Spurs" of them all, but still I fear that ship has sailed. Do a Ferguson and show intent. Sell him. If it's true that N'Dombele doesn't apply himself in training - kick him out. I don't care about his abilities or potential or whatif, how can a club pander to a player who doesn't want to do his job? You simply cannot have players who doesn't really REALLY want to be here.

Get in a new manager who has a plan and a vision, other than "making the fans proud". Remove the bad elements. I would've sticked to Nuno if I'd seen anything that remotely could look like a vision, but I don't think he has qute the ability nor the power to do as he dreams to do. Hit the reset button. I also think that new players arrive at the club thinking they've joined a contender, and a club with aspirations and mentality, based on who we were under Poch. It's just two years since we played in the Champions League final for crying out loud. And when they've settled, they realize they've been wrong, that it isn't like that at all beneath the surface. It's just business. No matter who the manager is. In fact the manager may very well be a victim of exactly that.

I agree with a lot of that, I wouldn't sack Nuno.

Also, I think the question in your first paragraph is answered in your second.

If The DOF says he needs to be signed and it’s 50 million and levy says you can have 20 - would say it’s the same issues as with Mitchell.

but dunno if that’s the case or not.
Very true. Just worried that someone else could pinch him as it’s a loan. Only bright spot in this pitiful mess
