I think if he stays we get the best of both worlds. I don’t see him being demotivated - goals are his currency. Plus we get another year to transition ourselves away from our dependency on him. Both in terms of rebuilding the squad as well as having our current players step up in terms of leadership. This is already happening and his influence on the pitch will have changed a lot after this episode.

I'm not sure it'll be causing teh club frustration. We'll have different plans depending on what happens with Kane ie a base plan assuming he stays, and then an overlay to that if he leaves
Priority is getting the base plan executed now

I really don’t understand the city logic. JG is a good player but not a position they need to strengthen. A number 9 is what they needed yet spent most of their money on JG instead.
Hasn’t necessarily got anything to do with the Grealish deal at all. If all was said was ‘an amazing offer’ then that’s just down to interpretation. Levy could think that 200m is an amazing offer whereas Kane and his camp see something just north of 100m being amazing. Without agreeing an actual figure this ‘gentleman’s agreement’ is just flim flam, and we all know Levy knew this…..

Grealish going for £100M, Lukaku for ~£120M sets a baseline
Said it before, market value of Grealish and Kane were about £55M apart (hence £150M-£160M is actually right on the money)
I think if you go back and listen to Simon Jorden's statement, it lines up, his view -> Levy would have said, yes we will sell you, but we will want maximum value out of the sale for Tottenham Hotspur.
At this point it's simple, either City pays, or he stays, either way his reputation is in tatters ..

No one is paying anywhere near £100m for Lewandowski. He may well be the best striker in the world but at 32 years old he only has 2 maybe 3 years left in him.
Hmmm .. sell Kane for £150M, buy Lewandowski for say £80M-£85 (€100M), gives you three years to get some combination of our young strikers to make the transition?

Both chelsea and city were prepared to pay the asking price for haaland this summer of €175m which is about £148m.
Both have been unable to convince him to change his mind on his ‘pre-agreement’ with real madrid.
Its the worst kept secret in football and media outlets running stories on haaland’s next destination are doing so for views and clicks only.
They know that both mbappe and haaland join real madrid next summer.
It would be interesting if lewandowski went to city for £100m and then bayern should be able to scrape together £150m for kane.
I know what market precedent is, but its still irrelevant to what Levy considers an 'amazing offer'. If City had signed Grealish for £50m, I still don't think Levy would have said £100m is enough.
Does it strengthen the case for a higher valuation of Kane? Of course it does. But the point is 'amazing offer' is down to interpretation and doesnt have a specific figure therefore this whole 'gentlemans agreement' thing is pretty pointless....
Not sure I see Lewandowski coming to Spurs - I saw the news and just assumed he was angling for a move to City. Unless he's willing to move to a team which wont win their league or CL in the next 2 years, I dont see what other teams could afford him, even for say £70m
Will be interesting to see what Bayern would do - go for Haaland, depsite him being cheaper next year, come after Kane or....

The Kane's are getting a lesson in reality.
Levy (from his side) would never give them a number. 1. Because he's a seasoned negotiator 2. CK would have told City that number by now.
Kane's failing (and his advisors) is if he wanted to leave last year and got talked into to staying, part of that being talked into staying would have been CK demanding a number and a clause being added to his contract (they had leverage then), potentially allowing Harry to sort his future out on day one of the window and before the Euros.
