Next Manager?

Completely agree, We need a massive bootcamp through July to get the whole squad into shape.

Unlikely for a number of them who will be at the Euros until mid-July and then on a fortnight’s break.

With Nuno off to Palace and Potter looking like heading to Everton, the shadows of Martinez and Southgate grow larger.

Agreed. No appointment by the end of this week and my money goes on one of these two.

How trustworthy is that of a source? It would make sense that PSG would want Zidane, but would he want PSG?

I know very little of ZZ and his motivations but he doesn't strike me as a 'Project Manager' who's going to drop even to the relative depths of a Sevilla or Villareal. I would say that PSG, Juventus or Bayern are probably the clubs he'll next end up at.

Curious to hear from Grays on Derp Seems to have some credible information and called Conte because the news broke so would be interested to hear what’s happened since the quote above.

Sorry been working nights. Deals not dead just apart of a few issues according to my mate. Ultimately the club doesn't see the rush either, it's a slow summer with the Euros so it's seen as a case of no rush. The DOF is coming in so fully expect Conte to happen really

No. Just that the premier league and cl are the priority. If we have secured cl and are in a cup final we go 100% for it. If we have no chance of cl andare in a cup final we go 100% for it. With our debt and covid causing a loss of revenue of £200m. Getting into the cl was much more important than winning the league cup. You might not like it but that's the way it is.

But surely winning the cup could have given us the momentum to step it up for the last few games, we should never throw a final once we've done the hard work to get there. A trophy should have been making of this squad, could have potentially convinced Kane to stay which is worth far more to us.

Did winning the fa cup give leicester momentum? Not sure it works like that.

I'm not saying i'm happy with prioritising tbe league and cl over the cups. I understand why it is the case though.

They had a very tough run in to be fair but at the end of the day I'd take a trophy over being in the top 4 and who knows how it might help them next season in tough games.

I don't buy the FA Cup gives you momentum argument - teams either win it because they've got such a great and deep squad that they can deal with a sustained cup run - or they win the cup at the expense of league form and progression - Look at Woolwich - 4 FA Cup wins since 2014 yet they've got progressively worse over the same period. What did the FA Cup win do for Portsmouth or Wigan?

It may have been Emirates Marketing Project's first trophy of the era in 2011 but with the wealth behind them the league titles were always going to follow.

We know we dont have and probably never will have the resources of Emirates Marketing Project, Man Utd and chelsea. We also recognise in the cold light of day that despite Woolwich's FA Cup Wins it would be better for the club to be playing in the Champions League. We should also recognise that Klopp's attitude to the cups has been even more blase than Poch did.

I would be very wary of a manager whose sole aim was to win us the FA Cup or League Cup as a primary objective - if they do it'll be far more about them than the club.

Hopefully our new DOF has got a rabbit in his hat, or a manager.

Saw somewhere today that Everton were looking to get Galtier (ex-Lille) which would have been an interesting take. A few people on here were suggesting him earlier but the thought was he had agreed to go to Nice.

I think he is great but Everton don’t have the right players for him

I'd be fuming if Potter goes to everton and we end up with either of those. I do think its its a realistic possibility though

Why?

He is a good manager and perfect for how we should be behaving, promoting young players with the smattering of good players, our DNA if you like.

But why fume because as Daniel Levy as top dog at spurs this is how we are. He built his big stadium he know feels we are the same as Chelsea and can just sack and hire people because the squad is good enough.

Nothing changes with Levy here, nothing.

Allegedly we talked to galtier before conte. Klinsmann also saying we talked to him, said we'd see how things went.

I didn’t really want to say anything on here, but Levy approached me about the job a fortnight ago last Thursday.

We seemed to be making progress until I said I would take it only if Aurier, Dier, Sissoko, Winks, Lamela, Moura, Davies, Vinicius, Sanchez, Dele, Doherty, Carter Vickers, Sessegnon and Hart were all moved on this summer.

I haven’t heard from him since.

I’m a little confused as to how to classify this. Is it itk if it comes directly from one of the 2 parties involved? So you would be itk as technically you’ve come across info? Anyway mate I wouldn’t worry too much about not hearing back. The carousel will come right back around so hang tight. In the meantime don’t shoot the messenger…obviously

He's quite a defensive coach. I don't think that he'd be a good fit for us.
