Next Manager?

How do they know? (Genuine question).

what is his fee likely to be?.. £70m?

We should be all over Soumare. Him and 2 CBs and we’re well set.
Their getting soumare
My mate knows that club well enough
He is well connected at Leicester
He has been on the lash with Top a few times too (he didn’t drink)
Abs of course the classic he gains nothing from telling me as were not signing him

100 % Potter for me now. He’s not had the chance to fk up at higher a level club, never had the chance to choke. BR has... and choked.

He just lost to Mikel Arteta. Thank GHod we did the business on our end, or that lot would have finished above us as a result of how toothless Brighton were against *Arsenal*. Under Arteta.

If he's meant to be some impressive coaching prodigy, results like that really don't help.

He has also won there
Twice
Unlike ANY Spurs manager

End of season phoned in performance for a team that has long achieved it's goals is not unheard of tbf - especially if the manager has told them he's walking out on them...

He doesnt exactly have a stellar group of players does he (though he can bring White and Lamptey with him when he comes...)

Bissouma, White, Lamptey, Dunk - he's spent, what, 200m+? It's not a bad side he's got there, which is what worries me.

He's finishing 17th this season, and yet can't get his team to play until the end of the season - giving up when they're safe from relegation. @billyiddo - that doesn't scream competence to me, mate.

@Bedfordspurs - no. Surely that's wrong - we've never had a coach win twice at the Emirates?

Christ on a bike.

Nope we haven’t
And he hasn’t spent £200m either
£7m net spend this season
£67m season before which actually added some of their better players like Webster, Maupey, Lamptey and Trossard
But it’s the improvement in the ones he inherited which is key IMO
Dunk looks better than any CB we have
Bissouma would start for us in midfield
He has a coaching philosophy which improves his players

I really hope we have the new manager in this week, everyone will be off for the Euros after that and there's a LOT of work to do.

Tweet from Ally Gold up above says club wants the manager in place in 7-10 days, and that he'll be 'expensive'.

Now, what the club wants, and what it actually achieves are different things. I remember when we were hoping to appoint a coach 'before the end of the season', too. But for what it's worth, seems the club agrees with you re: before Euros.

Compensation packages will take time to negotiate
