Can't see Mourinho using Sanchez again. Slightly unfair as any player who's not played much is always rusty. Doherty wasn't that much better, but at CB mistakes are punished. Rodon made a couple of mistakes last weekend but got away with it.

Our passing was awful. No fluidity. Players had to think, then were a beat too slow often with off balls. But we are through so whatever. Need to smarten up for the weekend.

I suspect that was another nail in coffin moment .. could see a CB being on the list come Jan window, with Sanchez up for sale.

That has to be the end of Sanchez. I'd rather see a kid in there to get some experience than see Sanchez again.
He just doesn't learn from his mistakes and if he has no positional sense at this stage he never will.

Gazza seems the least bad of the reserve keepers as well but doesn't bode well if anything happens to Lloris.

I was surprised at all the long balls at kick-out, throwing away possession each time. Saying that the midfield would've
given it away a few seconds later anyway.

I thought we were pretty brick against Chelsea to be fair.

We were fine against Chelsea, not great but not brick, was a poor game because both teams tactically negated each other and neither was willing to risk it.

Considering they put 4 past Sevilla right after, probably smart by us.

Today was just brick .. we don't play well without Kane or Vini, and the Doherty/Sanchez pair was a disaster ..

So many heavy touches too! From almost every player on the team, often not even under challange. It was contagious.

Job done, team looking disinterested in the Europe league group game is nothing new. We move on to the big one.

Yeah nothing out of the ordinary here and something even one of the most decorated managers in the game struggles to motivate his players for

Just felt like we we struggled to control the game due to being pressed, which is a concern considering we hard arguably our best 3 technical midfielders starting. The attack was a bad mix and Bale is not driving into into space or covering it, for all the criticism he seems to be playing for a highlights reel rather than be direct and effective.
Sanchez will get some justified pelters but I thought Davies was poor and Doherty has gone from being ineffective to struggling with basic decisions. Not sure if it’s confidence or a minor injury.

That’s what I noticed too. The ball control of our players was dire. Too many times they let the ball get away from them.

Serious question, which scout would recommend him to a club based on his performances for us? If a prem team came in for him it would be spelt because he played for us and I can’t see his wages correlating with the level he needs to drop down too...

Upside, play absolute brick and get a draw and through to the knockout stage.

Jose will kick some ass, hopefully that's our 1 in 6 or 7 brick performance to bed for the next 6 weeks or so.

We won’t see much of that back 5 from here on in

EL ups a level

Maybe a loan to Ajax.

You also need to ask why our scouts and management team decided to spend a record sum on him.

fudging hell, that was beyond appalling.

I said after we drew Marine - we have a notorious tendency to play down to the level of the opposition in a way other teams just don't.

No one in that shower of sh*te team deserves the flight home, tbh. They're all pathetic losers who proved why the vast majority of them are deserved second choices. Special props go to Hart, Gio and Sanchez for especially appalling displays of ineptitude.

Sigh.
You forgot Doherty, who was at least as bad as any of them....
