May not seem so special now but believe me I still remember being totally gobsmacked by this volley at 1.12 from Gornik's Ernest Pol. Was easily the best goal that night, all the more shocking because, having pulled back from 4-2 down in the first leg to level the scores, this thunderbolt had us all wondering just what we were up against here.

It was our first ever game in Europe at WHL, and as Brian Moore says, the night 'Glory Glory Tottenham Hotspur' was born. And yes, I also remember joining in the chorus too, at the same time wondering where the hell did that song come from?

One of my most memorable nights of football ever.

Must be lovely memories - really wish I'd been around back then to experience WHL nights like that. Also a great volley indeed!
