Would you keep Arry after the Season?

More the manner of it than anything, if we'd been swapping 3rd/4th with Arsenal all season then it wouldn't have been so bad, but we blew it and many attribute the blame on Harry taking his eye off the ball because he was too busy flirting with England.

is it just me that looks at the wrongly disallowed goals? had even half of them been correctly given we would most likely have beaten Chelsea at home and Stoke away, for example. 5 points, right there - that Harry and the team should rightfully have had - taken away.

by all means, look at Harry's culpability over England if that's what you believe, but then you must also look at the other factors too.

Surely then that is perception rather than reality? 38 games over a season, and the order in which they come in can distort reality as to where a team should be (or how far ahead/behind it is) compared to another team.

Where have I named individuals? And I am not sure whether you're being obtuse on person, or whether you really have a complete lack of footballing understanding as to what I am conveying about possession based football.

The names are implied. Yes, you're saying we keep possession so that protects our defence, congratulations. Now how about the other 45% of the game where we don't have the ball?

Every team can point at wrong decisions.

One win from nine is an appalling run no matter what order the games are in, especialy for one that is supposed to be a top 3/4 team.

We dominate possession more than that, hardly any football is played in our third with opposition possession. And the names were NOT implied. We were talking about comparitive to other Premiership teams and world class players. Do you GENUINELY believe we have world class defenders? Personally I don't believe we have a single defender who is anywhere near world class (King in his prime was world class, but that was long gone. Gallas in his prime was a fantastic player, but never world class).

How do you explain then whenever our midfield did have a brick game, the defence fell to bits?

We were 4th last season. Whether we were punching above our weight or only got 4th due to other teams underperforming we did get it. So there is no supposed about it.

1 win in 9 games? Depends on the opposition. If we had a fixture list of 9 matches of Utd (H), Arsenal (H), Chelsea (H), Saudi Sportswashing Machine (A), City (H), Everton (A), Liverpool (A), Stoke (A) Fulham (A) - then I genuinely wouldn't be shocked if we failed to win a single match. Indeed with those away fixtures you certainly wouldn't expect us to win any of them (and if we did, it would be a bonus).

Who would I put in charge? No idea. Someone who ticked those 5 boxes I listed before.

I think I've been pretty clear how I feel about Henry. I don't like him. It's personal. To me he's about as Spurs as George Graham, given the chance hes on record as saying he'd love to sign Sol Campbell, Joe Cole and others who have no business having anything to do with Spurs.

I don't like how he constantly puts down the club. Yes we were in a temporary lull when he arrived but he neglects to mention the good work done by Arnesen and Jol before him. Those two brought Spurs from mid table plodders to the cusp of challenging for top 4. I've said before and I'll say it again if Levy hadn't been so stupid as to get rid of Jol, he'd have achieved just as much if not more than Henry. And he'd have done it on a way that made you proud to be a Spurs fan.

There's just as much risk in keeping Redknapp on as there is in replacing him.

There's no way of knowing that. Jol had lost the dressing room (or rather had lost Berbatov), and once that happens it is very difficult to turn it around.

top 10 average possession 2011/12:

1. arsenal - 59.6%
2. city - 57.7%
3. swansea - 57.6%
4. utd - 57.3%
5. spurs - 56.3%
6. chelsea - 55.4%
7. liverpool - 55%
8. wigan - 49.9%
9. fulham - 48.9%
10. wolves - 47.8%

oh sorry, I underrated us by 1.3%. My mistake. If you say our defence is brick then ofcourse Walker, Kaboul and Ekotto are implied considering they played probably 40 games apiece last season. I don't need to rely on implications either as I have the (mis)fortune of having read your previous posts on the three players mentioned.

So you choose to ignore my main questions. I'll ask again.

Because world class is such a subjective term. Whatever your definition of "world class" is, Spurs are not a "world class" team so we're unlikely to be filled with "world class" players. What I do believe though is that Walker, Kaboul and Ekotto are in the top 5 for their respective positions within the Premier League so for someone to constantly slag them off is rather bemusing. As for this point about our defence falling to pieces when the midfield played like crap then what point are you even trying to make here? Our midfield is setup to attack, if you weigh up the the ability of our midfield in terms of attack:defence then it's probably 75:25, so when they fail to do what they're supposed to then they're not going to offer our defence a whole lot of protection, which in turn means our defence struggles.

Play Sandro and Parker alongside Modric and we'll concede far fewer goals, our defence will look stronger, but on the flip side we won't be as "exciting" to watch and nor will we create/score as much.

So basically you answer the question by not answer the question at all.

How do you explain then whenever our midfield did have a brick game, the defence fell to bits?

Well he didn't this season. That's the fact. And we were in a position to do it until he ballsed it up at the end. Recent experience > more distant experience. He's getting older. Is he the man? It's a serious question. I don't want us to fall back and have to bring a new manager in to clean up a mess. Why not step in before the mess eventuates, look for the signals. I think the signals are arguably there.

he's younger than Fergie

you ageist bastard
O:)

Convinced you're just taking the tinkle here, did you even read my post? Won't be replying to whatever you come up with next as it really is an utter waste of time, enjoy boring someone else into submission.

It's a simple question that you haven't answered. How do you explain then whenever our midfield did have a brick game, the defence fell to bits?

All good points. In my opinion, the current squad as it is, is a once in a generation squad Bale and Modric could walk into any other team in the world. Defence is solid. Up front is the dead weight, but should be relatively easy to fix.

If we stuff this up, finish 5th or worse next season, lose Bale, Modric, VdV, we're back where we were pre-Jol. We won't be able to replace like for like. We got extremely lucky with Modric and almost mugged ourselves on Bale. The stars have alligned for us, we need to be careful we have the right bloke in charge.

And take away results, is Redknapp the right bloke. Make a list of the top 5 attributes you would want in a manager. Here's mine:

1. A Leader
2. Tactically aware
3. Intelligent
4. Respected
5. Passionate.

How many ticks does Henry get of yours?

whats more to the point, is how many people contributing toi this board, are actually qualified to answer that question

at a rough guess, I'd say it was zero

although there are plenty who think they know everything

I assume by you saying we should finish 6th, then you mean we're the 6th best team, ergo we should beat the 14 teams worse than us twice.

28 wins x 3 points = 84 points = 3rd place.

Having less resources than Emirates Marketing Project and United does not affect our ability to beat Norwich. We can lose to all the teams that are "better" than us and still achieve.

O Jesus H Christ..........

you really do think you know everything

i know whatever happens in the future you will be on here twisting everything everyone says to suit your own agenda, running away from debates where you get verbally smacked down, doing your best to create an divisive atmosphere, attacking anyone who has a differing view to your own and generally actuing like a the massive wind up merchant you are

and you said I was unfair to BoL?

and you said I was unfair to BoL?

I put him on my ignore list! It's so nice not having to deal with hypocritical posters, it's made my experience so much better! Next thing I intend to weed out are the ones who clearly don't have a clue what they're talking about or are utterly irrational in their views (and they tend to be hypocritical too anyway) and also anyone who claims they are ITK when they clearly aren't. I reckon by the time I'm done I'll only be left with logical posters. I may not always agree with them (you and africa instantly spring to mind!), but at least I'll be able to have a reasoned logical debate with them.

Is that a serious question?

We finished 4th this year.

And then a ten man Chelsea beat Barcelona (who raped them) and Bayern Munich (on their home ground)

I doubt we'll see another combination of events as dramatic as this, to conspire against a manager getting CL, for the next 100 years

...plus going down to 10 v. Villa, plus the worst goalkeeping performance in 350 league games last season happening at the Hawthorns.

If any one of those 4 incredibly unlikely events doesn't happen, we're not even having this debate.

The end of last season was like Lasagnagate on steroids in terms of rotten luck.
